Deceased are pretty cool, for Death/thrash I prefer Deathchain's Deathrash Assault though.

C.O.A. 12-27-2007 06:37 PM

I've never listened to them. I'll check them out sometime soon.

Angmar 12-27-2007 06:40 PM

Do for sure, you shall not regret it. Just don't get anything but that album.

publicastration 12-27-2007 06:47 PM

lol I was testing out my new ipod and Ribspreader came on and nearly blew my ears out because for some reason that album's native volume is much louder than my other music.

C.O.A. 12-27-2007 06:47 PM

I'm d/l'ing right now.

I love the internet.

Edit @ Luc: My buddy had that happen to him last week lol.

That shit is annoying dude. I put my iPod on volume leveler or whatever they call it and a song came on and it was quiet as hell. The next song sounded good and loud. Gay!

Eliminator 12-27-2007 07:23 PM

yeah every song should be the same volume

Valhall 12-27-2007 07:40 PM

The volume leveling works pretty good on my little 1 gig mp3 player.

I have had that happen though; it's annoying as fuck.

We can put people on the doggone moon but we cant make good volume leveling on iPods. WTF? lol

Valhall 12-27-2007 07:42 PM

It's a wonder how technology works...

Angmar 12-27-2007 07:47 PM

Not really, files have different volumes, it has nothing to do with the Ipod...

Valhall 12-27-2007 07:49 PM
Not really, files have different volumes, it has nothing to do with the Ipod...
Yea, but the volume leveling features are supposed to work to correct that, lol.

Anyway, mine does just fine. Cheaper mp3 players ftw.

Man I spent 350 plus tax! That's an epic fail, lol.

Valhall 12-27-2007 07:51 PM

$50 ftw.

Dimmu Burger 12-27-2007 07:54 PM
$50 ftw.
What kind is it?

Valhall 12-27-2007 08:05 PM

Creative Mediasource.

It's only a gig, but it works great...

I played with my brother-in-law's brand new iPod Nano and it is really fast and responsive. I want a 160 gig flash based iPod lol.

^I think it's coming, we're starting to see solid state hard drives slowly increase in size and decrease in price.

That deserves a Crap Yeah.

publicastration 12-27-2007 09:39 PM

Oh btw I fixed the Ribspreader problem, turns out the idiot that ripped the album I downloaded had set the volume settings at +100% gain.

rattlehead42147 12-27-2007 10:25 PM

I was listening to a foreign objects cd my friend downloaded for me and he set the volume leveling to max and my ears were blasted when the first song kicked in. I don't usually ever get angry but when that happened I was seriously pissed lol

I ****ing hate when people do that.

i am the robots 12-28-2007 02:23 AM

I like 100% gain :/

TojesDolan 12-28-2007 03:16 AM

well that's because you don't know **** about equal loudness contours.

i am the robots 12-28-2007 03:27 AM

Well wait, does this count for the volume adjustment settings for itunes or is this something completely different.

I'm a noob at anythingthing musically related aside from plugging in a microphone and yell into it overtop of my friends playing mediocre deathcore.

publicastration 12-28-2007 08:35 AM
Well wait, does this count for the volume adjustment settings for itunes or is this something completely different.
Yeah I checked the volume adjustment in itunes, and instead of being in the middle (IE no artificial volume gain) the slider had been set to plus 100%.

RetiredAt21 12-28-2007 03:46 PM

Ribspreader is pretty awesome.

For the record the volume leveler thing on my new iPod doesn't work for crap. It makes the music go back and forth between really loud and really soft. Gay! I'm better off just leaving it be.

AA-12 12-28-2007 04:50 PM

Why don't you guys just get well ripped music? I've never had that problem.

The leveler is stupid as hell on the iPod. It makes it so you can't turn it up very loud at all.

Dimmu Burger 12-28-2007 04:59 PM

If I'm getting a cd for free online i'm not gonna delete it because the bitrate is different than what I use. I'll just suck it up.

<<done complaining!

Skyler 12-28-2007 04:59 PM

Do any of you guys use the sound enhancer feature in iTunes? I've been listening to music with it on 100% for about a week now and I like it much better.

AA-12 12-28-2007 05:06 PM

Yeah, it's pretty awesome.

negrodamus 12-28-2007 05:29 PM

How do you use it?

AA-12 12-28-2007 05:35 PM

Edit - Preferences - Playback

Dimmu Burger 12-28-2007 06:24 PM
Edit - Preferences - Playback
I'll have to try that. Of course I usually use my iPod instead of my computer. I can hook that up to my surround sound easier.

pate 12-28-2007 10:34 PM

What does this sound enhancer do?

gmoneyguy 12-28-2007 10:39 PM

Enhances sound, but don't quote me on that.

pate 12-28-2007 11:01 PM

Profound
What does this sound enhancer do?
I think it may add some harmonics onto the bass notes, so the listener is fooled into thinking that their stereo system is pumping out more bass than it really is. Among other things, I've read that it messes with the phase of some of the higher notes to increase the stereo image.
