I seriously cannot imagine a better passive 4 than my T-40. I haven't met one, at least.
I once considered them, but now I am looking for a good bass, quality like on Japan/American fenders, yet still at a reasonable price, with a tone that fits me, and a neck I like. THat's the problem with buying something I haven't played...

So far, I'm leaning to either a Fender American Deluxe (which will take me quite a while to save up for :upset: ) or a Sting Sig/'51 Reissue.

Ideally, I'd need the same bass twice, one strung with flats, other with rounds, but that's coming later on, when I NEED the different tones for gigs and such.

That made NO SENSE WHATSOEVER :upset:.

See ya twopelu!

PaulSimonon 05-01-2005 07:00 PM

Hmm, 250$ (plus shipping...) for an American made bass with humbuckers and a P-ish neck, and usually has the hardshell case...

Seems like what you're looking for.

Now all we need is to find one by you to play.

123.

Radiobass81 05-01-2005 07:02 PM

How about this:

I'll be on the safe side for now and buy a Precision, and we will see what happens when I play the T-40 at Basslines.

:)

PaulSimonon 05-01-2005 07:04 PM

Deal. I'll tell you if I decide to sell my P, but mine is beat up and doesn't let the action too low, I think. I always have my action high, myself.

Radiobass81 05-01-2005 07:05 PM

Well, I'm off. Good night!

PaulSimonon 05-01-2005 07:06 PM

'Night Jorge.

AlmightyPancake 05-01-2005 07:29 PM

T-40s are excellent, but **** they're heavy.

blizzard 05-01-2005 07:30 PM

hey

LewsTherin 05-01-2005 07:30 PM

hi.

PaulSimonon 05-01-2005 07:32 PM

I don't really notice the weight myself.

AlmightyPancake 05-01-2005 07:32 PM
I don't really notice the weight myself.
That's because you're an algerian crack whore.

PaulSimonon 05-01-2005 07:33 PM

....
No...

I just compared it to my P, and the T-40 is heavier.

AlmightyPancake 05-01-2005 07:35 PM
....
No...
The denial phase...

Yeah, those t-40s are heavy, but they at least live up to the #1 rule of peavey-

Live Forever.

PaulSimonon 05-01-2005 07:37 PM

I honestly don't think I could break it without high grade explosives. The same goes for my Cort. The Fender.... meh.

blizzard 05-01-2005 07:37 PM

I've never played a Peavey bass though i have played a Peavey Eddie Van Halen sig guitar and that was awesome.

AlmightyPancake 05-01-2005 07:40 PM
I honestly don't think I could break it without high grade explosives. The same goes for my Cort. The Fender.... meh.
And even after the explosives, you could still probably reassemble it with little problem.

PaulSimonon 05-01-2005 07:45 PM

Yeah man, it's a friggin tank. Sounds good too.

blizzard 05-01-2005 07:49 PM

When the end of the world comes all that will be left will be a bunch of Peavey products

PaulSimonon 05-01-2005 07:57 PM

And silicone implants. They last forever you know!

Left Shoe 05-01-2005 08:00 PM

so my drummer friend wants me and him to get our thumb webbing pierced and gauged, thoughts?

FlamingCouch 05-01-2005 08:02 PM

I think that's insane.

(disturbing-like, not insane awesome or something like that)

Left Shoe 05-01-2005 08:03 PM

im indifferent, my only concern would be if it ripped HAHA

PaulSimonon 05-01-2005 08:12 PM

I think it'd be cool, myself.

AlmightyPancake 05-01-2005 08:24 PM

Mmmmm... well then.

Spaceman Spiff 05-01-2005 08:25 PM

Go for it. It's not very common, but people do it.

Spaceman Spiff 05-01-2005 08:40 PM

So... who saw the new Family Guy episode?
It was funny, and the greased-up deaf guy made a cameo at the end.

Foxfire 05-01-2005 08:53 PM

It was funny, but for some reason it didn't seem like old Family Guy.

I dunno, I was in a crappy mood too. I have to do a project on XYY syndrome (also known as Jacobs syndrome) due tomorrow with a 2-3 minute PowerPoint presentation.

:upset:

Spaceman Spiff 05-01-2005 08:55 PM

2-3 minute PP presentation isn't hard at all.
One time I put together a 20 minute PP presentation in one night... on the economy of Sadui Arabia... and it got a mark of 90%.
