Has anyone heard the new Exodus?

RavenousMetalist87 09-28-2005 10:52 PM
My favorite song on that album would have to be Karma's Messenger. It's insanely catchy and helps me get ready for school in the morning and is fun to try to headbang to while eating poptarts
I usually listen to the whole thing and start speeding faster than what I should be, sometimes turning right when there's a car nearing the intersection.

Sometimes I pass by teh cops going like over the speed limit and they just look at me like

Driving with thrash will do that to you.

That is true. I sometimes pass by cops in the residential areas going 30 and they don't even bother to stop me.

I did that once while two cops were talking and they didn't even see me

Apocalyptic Raids 09-28-2005 11:00 PM

Yep, the new Exodus absolutely slays.

Note to RM: Don't drive while listening to Dark Angel.

ThrashMaster27 09-29-2005 04:03 AM

I finished my Coroner write up and now I'm just waiting on my sampler to be uploaded, which is taking friggin' years. Await the Coronary goodness.

ThrashMaster27 09-29-2005 04:39 AM

Hey! shut up man, just cause their guitar tone sounds like someone crapping on the strings and Steev sounds like a cross between Chuck Billy and Robb Flynn!

I still like 'em *cries*

MAthiAS 09-29-2005 05:49 AM
That's probably true. Just like how Hair Metal died.

Hardcore/Metalcore = Hair Metal/Nu Metal

Some new band will do something so 'spectacular' and then that one evil will cause another million to follow.

Hopefully it is a good evil...and something better than what we have XD
I wonder if say a metalcore band randomly decided to turn to thrash metal, would all the kids know the difference, or would they follow them into thrash?

\m/

I want their DVD.

FatalEnergy 09-29-2005 06:38 PM

Yes, I NEED that DVD. My band plays a cover Mad Butcher everyonce in a while, so I get to pretend I'm Schmier.

RavenousMetalist87 09-29-2005 09:00 PM

When does the DVD come out again?

Freezing Moon 09-29-2005 09:05 PM

I scored an A on my science test today, because I was listening to Dark Angel and Coroner the whole time. :p

Our class managed to convince our teacher we could concentrate much better with music, so I blasted Darkness Descends and No More Color the whole time.

MAthiAS 09-29-2005 09:24 PM

Sick.

Last year during my Biology final, I had my CD player hooked up in my backpack. When I threw it on the floor, it turned on without me realizing, then in the middle of the exam I hear Nevermore blasting from it, surprisingly loudly considering it was just a pair of headphones. Anyway, everybody noticed it but no one said anything, it was pretty funny and sweet.

RavenousMetalist87 09-29-2005 09:51 PM

Man, I wish we could do that.

In CAD, we can bring in CDs, but they have to be appropriate, and a majority of the class is into hip-hop and rap, and they keep making fun of me with "Slayer".

I tell them "Slayer isn't all that and a bag of chips."

Then they talk **** about my hair.

****ers. They're just jealous because they'll never be as unique as I am :D

I wish I could do that for class. My old english teacher let us listen to music during work. That was the hizzy.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-29-2005 09:57 PM

Thats why I have an iPod :D

No wonder I got 28% in my Maths yearly.

FatalEnergy 09-29-2005 10:06 PM

I have this music "appreciation" class, and I had to bring some of my "absolute favorite" music and listen to a song. So, I brought in "Good Mourning/Black Friday", because I was huge into Megadeth at the time (still kinda am). I melted everyones face off, especially since I played mine after a bunch of rappers. I'll never forget how the room was dead silent after the song ended. I did get in minor trouble be cause of the "What the Fck is this?" part. Luckily I'm good at excuses.

I think I will listen to that now

Generally the teachers here are pretty leniant about listening to music while doing individual work as long as "nobody else can hear that crap".

I always get shit for my hair, haha.

Good Morning/Black Friday is a great song. I was blasting that on the way to school. I had to drive my sister, and I'm not sure if she could appreciate it on the same level as me.

Maybe I'll create a metalhead out of her, yet. She seems to like Iron Maiden.

I should do that. However, at my school, I'd need something really heavy and scary. Like Razor or D666.

Hell, even Death or Morbid Angel would make them **** their pants. Especially if it's like the later stuff...the slow, doomy, and haunting sound of a low B guitar...and the growling vocals from hell, with the extreme pounding drumkit.

Apocalyptic Raids 09-29-2005 10:13 PM

Just play them some Obituary. That'll sort them.
