We're not really an organization. We're town-funded (so i guess you could make the argument that parents are partly paying for it with their taxes, as little as that is). I guess we're more a resource than an organization. I don't really know how to explain it.


And yeah I agree that music is a form of art and you're not going to get the full experience if you just download it, listen to it, then delete it, but it's a much better way to discover new music than going into the record store and going "hmm, there's 3 sections in here. rock, pop, and alternative. i'll just pick this random cd and buy it. hope it doesn't suck." I've discovered new bands and entire genres I never would have touched if it meant having to shell out $20 to give it a chance.

meh. that's what the radio and/or friends are for.

radio is pretty brutal here for finding new music. the only station that i can stand listening to plays local bands every now and then, but other than that it's the same mtv stuff 99% of the time.

and my friends are all "omg underoath and the used" or "omg nofx and antiflag"

i'm the one friend that's like "oh you like them? try this out."

i need cooler friends and/or better radio.

basically, the whole south and west coasts of england have severe weather warnings, 80mph winds, heavy rain and flooding.

i have to get on a ****ing train from my town (south coast) to liverpool (300 odd miles away)

We have severe weather warnings up here too. Only ours include snow.

Nasty rainfall so far, but nothing else.

my college is closed cos of flood warnings. problem is the railway i take goes straight past my college :(

plus speed restrictions on the train :(
