LoL this is some good stuff
Now this may have been mentioned before considering this thread is 375 pages long but I would like to add the hilarious fact that Avril Lavigne tried to cover metallica's song Fuel. She made an absolute ****pile of the song and it just makes me laugh and her pitiful excuse for talent. Her band isn't even that bad but man her singing is HORRIBLE.... so i keep it now in a folder named PROOF THAT AVRIL SUCKS .... I dunno i thought it was kinda funny
|
hmm
well sure enough being the good old noob i am i find the search thread button on the top right hand corner and of course it turns out this has been mentioned before... oh well i tried
guitarcreep, do you realize that in your avatar, hetfield is playing lefty, did you flip the picture or something?
Nope, thats how I got it at Metallica.com pretty stupid though. |

i don't like avril, but i think the only reason it sounded "bad" is because it was sung by a girl. The voice thing wasn't there, and actually neither was the tone. But hell, did you see when Limp Bizkit performed?? The pained expression on kirks face is priceless! |
or maybe we could get right off topic.......
wtf |

The fact that you at least found the button and realized/admitted you made a mistake puts you head and shoulders above most. |
Best quote ever.
Goodluck with your band :) I'd like to hear some of your band's work, if possible :)
Hey thanks man, but we don't have our stuff yet. We've started not so long ago. About a month only. So right now we're playing 'tallica's stuff to learn playing together. I used to play 'tallica songs very good. But I played them alone in my room. Wow I didn't know that playing with other musicians would be so hard. |
is rob a better bass player than jason newsted?
yea dude you should be lucky. most bands quit after a couple of years and there still rocking out like crazy. so what if their married, it's not a big deal. it's not like you hear about their groupies and hear what they did to em and stuff and you'd hafta be pretty perverted to wanna know that stuff. rob kicksass too. jason was with metallica the longest, but rob is awesome. go see them live with rob. just do it. |
Too bad they haven't come to tour anywhere close to where I live... :upset:
|
metallica is freakin awesome... i jus got into them this summer... and they have quickly become one of my favorites ... among others.... in my opinion... these are there greatest sone.... fade to back... the call of ktulu... master of pupets ... u no.. teh obvius one...
the dont come on tour near me eitehr... it sux... i live in a small town in ... new jersey |
That's unfortunate because anyone who misses Metallica is missing out on an awesome show. They won't be playing like they are now for much longer I don't think. They still have such awesome energy, which is very impressive considering a 25 year career. And when people bitch about them changing their style of music it's just crazy. Think about it: are you still playing the same exact **** when you first became a musician? If so, you really need to grow musically, because that's kind of weak. Just because Metallica is a metal legend doesn't mean they're a whole lot different from us as far as musicianship and ideals.

I don't know, I could rarley hear Jason... His live doodle was great though. I think Rob is a better technical player than Jason, though alot of Jason's lines are too dam cool... |
hey and as long as they are married we all have a better chance of sleepin with the chicks they wont.
any one see that you can buy frekin concerts online. if you go to the site you can buy the show you went to. Amazing |
I saw them at the Big Day Out last year, they were awesome, since then they've been one of my favourites.
P.S. good thread idea, someone should really sticky it. |
Metallica were simply great from kill em all through to and justice for all.....
After that it starts to go down hill I hate to say. I'm a big metallica fan, and have been for a long time. But it is rare I will listen to anything on the black album or later....unless it's live of course. Sandman really doesn't agree with me. I still watch anything live I can get my hands on though ^^ Favourite song has to be Fade To Black I think though, or to live is to die....(that song still makes my spine shiver everytime I hear it, in a good way I mean.) |

Oh and Ride The Lightning(song) is simply :O
Favourite album being Ride the Lightning if you haven't guessed. |
so is anybody gonna buy the the concert they went to off www.metallica.com ??
i did and it brings the whole day back |
Metallica sucks
Big time |
Wow, you're original.
|
I thought of something that would be kick ***. In my S&M cd, on "one", James does some really heavy screaming in one part and I think it would be awesome if the next metallica cd, he did really heavy vocals. Discuss.
|
I like the older stuff like Ride the Lightining and And Justice For All. But this new album Some Kind of Monster sucks. Metallica rock though.
|
Oh yea I forgot Kill em' All
PS. Jump in the Fire ROCKS!! |
No ! Phantom Lord rocks too !

well the thing that sucks is that he's 40+. i just saw them in concert with godsmack and it doesn't seem as if he can scream so much anymore. they're all gettin old, the guitar and drums is slowing down and the vocals aren't so heavy. **** aging...metallica kicks *** besides heavy vocals, they really need soloing and to know when to stop. on st anger songs kept on going and going and there werent any solos. the next albums needs both |

I love how rob plays the bass like a chello on stage... its so god **** awesome!!!! |
