arbor mist just tastes like pure juice though, which is why i like it.

of course its pussy ****, but its better than drinking shitty piss beer

Nepenthe 07-26-2008 02:00 PM

id rather drink beer than any other type of alcohol tbh

its impossible to be a winner when youve already won eliminatoor

megalodon 07-28-2008 10:01 PM

^^^^ I'm with Nepenthe. Beer has always been my choice of alcoholic beverage. Other than commenting on the components that get us wasted, does anyone here like Evoken or Khanate? Both funeral Doom bands. I'm sure someone in this thread has mentioned one of them but I'm not digging through 400+ pages to find out.

Nepenthe 07-28-2008 10:24 PM

evoken is my favorite funeral doom band. antithesis of light is quite possibly one of the greatest cds in the entire doom genre. the cover art is legendary too. it used to be my avatar on here for awhile actually.

Txus 07-28-2008 10:37 PM

Evoken are quite good.

My favorite FD band is SOD though. ****ing epic ****.

Nepenthe 07-28-2008 10:41 PM

stormtroopers of death arent funeral doom

Txus 07-28-2008 10:54 PM

LOL

Shapes of Despair :)

You should go back to doing drugs again, you are getting kinda slow now mang.

Nepenthe 07-28-2008 10:58 PM

no, my level of sarcasm has just increased to a level undetectable by other humans

megalodon 07-28-2008 11:04 PM

"Antithesis Of Light" is such a good record. Who would have thought to put blast beats into a funeral Doom song? Brutal. Even though "Antithesis" was excellent, I'll always be more partial to "Quietus".

Nepenthe 07-28-2008 11:08 PM

quietus is excellent, but antithesis is just perfect. every piece of the antithesis puzzle is placed exactly where its supposed to go.

megalodon 07-28-2008 11:21 PM

"Quietus" was my first Evoken album so I probably have a soft spot for it. "Antithesis" is indeed perfect. I can't argue with that.

emilyy 07-28-2008 11:23 PM

Nepenthe 07-28-2008 11:28 PM

emilyy 07-28-2008 11:38 PM

Nepenthe 07-28-2008 11:43 PM

rasputin 07-29-2008 02:59 AM

Where can I find a free download of anything from Coffins? Google is not cooperating.

Txus 07-29-2008 03:21 AM

They are not that good tbqh

rasputin 07-29-2008 03:27 AM

I listened to a song on their myspace and thought it was decent. Cheers for the warning though, but I'd still like to hear an album of theirs.

Txus 07-29-2008 04:09 AM

Try in Bunalti, I think they have a couple of albums.

rasputin 07-29-2008 05:18 AM

haha sweet, it's in Turkish as well :)

Ventriloquist 07-29-2008 05:52 AM

Uh looking for doom bands like Uaral/Agalloch. A little bit of folk and clean tones in it. I have faith ITT. Help me out!

rasputin 07-29-2008 05:55 AM

The Morningside - The Wind, The Trees And The Shadows Of The Past
they're not too fantastic and are a bit predictable, but they fit the bill

Ventriloquist 07-29-2008 08:33 AM

They're OK. Not much like Uaral. But yea you said that they weren't fantastic so I got what I expected.

Nepenthe 07-29-2008 09:52 AM

maybe some empyrium and estatic fear

Angmar 07-29-2008 11:02 AM

Yeah old Empyrium would definitely be up your alley, Uaral are decent but their harsh vocals are pretty bad and they crying this is a bit much.

megalodon 07-29-2008 12:50 PM

I've been listening to Thorr's Hammer as of late and the Tyranny album "Tides Of Awakening". I don't know how I feel about it.

Txus 07-29-2008 02:45 PM

I don't like Thorr's Hammer that much.

I was listening to Burning Witch a while a go, they were so ****ing good.

Stormrider 07-29-2008 03:41 PM

Empyrium are so great.

Nepenthe 07-29-2008 03:49 PM

yeah seriously wtf is up with uarals song that is just somebody crying?

and i cant believe i forgot to recommend forest of shadows to the person looking for folk influenced doom. practically the best folky doom there is. i recommend where dreams turn to dust as the first album to look into. excellent, excellent stuff.

Silenius 07-29-2008 03:53 PM
Try in Bunalti, I think they have a couple of albums.
Bunalti - "we have the discography of every band" (and our rar passes are very tricky).
