Apocalyptic Raids 06-07-2005 04:31 AM

I've been messing around with Fruity Loops lately. So I could do drums, although I'm a n00b at the program.

RCA 06-07-2005 06:35 AM

If you want, I can do the guitar parts for anything on Darkness Descends except for Black Prophecies (that middle part has a weird evolving riff sequence that I'll probably forget how to play halfway through it  ).

The only Coroner song I know how to play is Masked Jackal.

Apocalyptic Raids 06-07-2005 07:34 AM

The title track would be pretty cool.

FatalEnergy 06-07-2005 12:58 PM

we could go and do something really classic.....like.....Rotten to the Core or Terror Zone

I don't know

RavenousMetalist87 06-07-2005 02:07 PM

Why not Efilnikufesin?
How about Indians?
Thrash Attack anyone?
Wake Up Dead?
Good Mourning/Black Friday?

metal-militia 06-07-2005 04:31 PM

You should do an Overkill song like Evil Never Dies.

FatalEnergy 06-07-2005 05:37 PM

I'm up for any of those

Anyway, I picked up Fates Warning - Awaken the Guradian (excellent early progressive Power Metal)

and King Diamond - House of God (can the King do any wrong?.....I think not, 'tis pwnage)

RCA 06-08-2005 12:45 AM

Yeah, King Diamond is one of those consistent greats.

I'd love to do ANY Overkill song.

FatalEnergy 06-08-2005 12:48 AM

yeah, Overkill would be cool to do, I'm liking The idea of doing Evil Never Dies

or something completely off the wall, like Venom. On second thought, that may not be THRASH enough

I think that is the most evilest cover I've ever seen from Destruction...it just screams "THRASH".

I can't wait for this new album. :D

I would, but they aren't on my computer. Especially since track 11 (Soulitude) on Horroscope is my favorite song

x_x ****.

Do you have MusicMatch? I know mine has a "Record" feature that allows me to rip tracks from CDs onto my computer.

iTunes is the best. I found a sweet EQ setting for it too, so now it even sounds good through my crappy computer speakers.

DESTRUCTION: 'Inventor Of Evil' Cover Artwork Posted Online, More Guest Appearances Revealed

German thrashers DESTRUCTION have uploaded the cover artwork for their upcoming album, "Inventor of Evil", [which loooks ****ing killer!]

In other news, DESTRUCTION have confirmed that they have tapped nne diferent world-renowned metal singers from all different heavy metal styles to make a guest appearance in their track "The Alliance of Hellhoundz", to be included on "Inventor of Evil", due on August 15 via AFM Records. The confirmed guest musicians are as follows:

Biff Byford (SAXON)
Doro Pesch
Shagrath (DIMMU BORGIR)
Björn "Speed" Strid (SOILWORK)
Paul Di'Anno (ex-IRON MAIDEN, KILLERS)
Messiah Marcolin (CANDLEMASS)
Mark Osegueda (DEATH ANGEL)
Peter "Peavy" Wagner (RAGE)
Peter Tägtgren (HYPOCRISY, PAIN)

Commented DESTRUCTION bassist/vocalist Marcel "Schmier" Schirmer, "The all-star song 'The Alliance of Hellhoundz' will make metal history: from Paul Di'Anno to Messiah, we'll have the best metal singers in ONE ****in' song!"

DESTRUCTION are currently recording "Inventor of Evil" with producer Peter Tätgtren (HYPOCRISY, PAIN), V.O. Pulver (GURD) and their live engineer Franky Winkelmann at studios in Germany and Switzerland. The mix will be done by Tätgtren at the Abyss Studios in Sweden. A "making of" studio clip, featuring an unmastered rough-mix recording of the song "Soulcollector", is available at this location.

DESTRUCTION's most recent album, "Metal Discharge", was released in September 2003 through Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to 2001's "The Antichrist" was the first DESTRUCTION album to feature drummer Marc Reign, who replaced Sven Vormann in 2001.

DESTRUCTION have been confirmed for Israel's annual Metalist Festival, set to take place on June 22 at the Hangar 11 club in Tel Aviv. Also scheduled to appear at the festival are headliners MEGADETH alongside homegrown metallers ETERNAL GRAY, CROSSFIRE, DISTORTED, LEHAVOTH and STELLA MARIS.

Ok, you guys are probably going to hate me for posting such a post like this, but I've been bored all morning with a stupid cold that I've had since Monday, and since finals are over, I decided to look into new music, considering last night I was trying to download Holy Moses' "Queen of Siam" and Overkill's "Horrorscope".

This morning, SoulSeek refused to work with me, but I still managed to get Overkill III (Under The Influence). I still have enough money on iTunes to download the 8 tracks from Under The Influence, so it's going all according to plan.

Well, I was looking at Destruction on Metal Archives, and found this band called Raise Hell. I know you guys will say they're not thrash, but from their biography, Destruction asked them to support them on a tour once. Now, I think if Schmier and the gang heard of these guys, then they must be good.

So far, I've been listening to a couple of their songs, and so far it's rather interesting. It's actually a hybrid between black metal and thrash, just like Destroyer 666 and Aura Noir, although I think some of the stuff from them (D666 and Aura Noir) could easily pwn these guys.

So, there's my post. Flame me :P

whatduffhuck7 06-09-2005 11:47 AM

i got some of destruction's cd, and metal discharge and the anitchrist sound alot different than there earlyer stuff. i like the antichrist and metal discharge is ok but i dont like there earlyer stuff at all, anybody else feel this way?

RavenousMetalist87 06-09-2005 01:59 PM

Personally, after a while of listening to their stuff, you grow used to it.

I didn't like Metal Discharge at first, but then I listened to it more with my IPod Mini. Then I became to understand it wasn't too terrible. So the songs were really odd constructed, and it wasn't full on thrash, not to mention the production sounded ech!

I like raw, but this was...weird.

FatalEnergy 06-09-2005 02:34 PM

I = Destruction Fanboy, I like everything they've ever done, even Metal Discharge which was good but had it's weak points

I can, what messenger would you prefer? And do you have the Mad Butcher EP you could possibly send me?

1) AIM is what I prefer.
2) SN is AxXAcesHighXxA
3) I do have the Mad Butcher EP. ThrashMaster27 posted it and I luckily burned it to a CD with Evil Invaders.

Thanks a million, GraveRobbers :thumb:
