wow, that's the most childish drama this forum might have ever experienced.

fishbulb 03-31-2008 11:24 PM

TTTSNB 03-31-2008 11:29 PM
man you are slow

jelle got photos of michelles boobs, through a trade, and gave them to chad

chad posted a thread spawning and cookie stealing link which displayed michelles boob photos

this was all over the forums for a while, then jelle got raged and locked the forums

he then opened some before he went to sleep, and the rest when he awoke

now there is much drama and chad is threatening to send these photos to michelles work

jelles mx animal photographs ring has also been let out
No one in their right mind so much as looks at the Pit.

Most epic Rick Roll in the history of the internet.

Datsuzoku 04-01-2008 05:30 AM

Shame i didn't wake up until after midday. April 1st is always entertaining.
Played my friend's pearl export today.

I doubt it was that good. It's only poplar.

lol you really don't know much do you?

Datsuzoku 04-01-2008 06:29 AM

I know what i've heard.

Poplar is decent enough for a low end kit, but its nothing special. Anyone who tries to beleive otherwise is misguided.

The new visions however, look impressive.

tell me that doesnt sound good.

Datsuzoku 04-01-2008 06:35 AM

You could make the cheapest drums possible sound good with enough EQing. That is obviously EQ'd.

Bad example.

Panopticon 04-01-2008 06:39 AM

lol...

The set sounds good. The set is poplar. I would record a professional record on that kit. I don't see what the problem is.

I've played on exports personally and they sound great if they have good heads and good tuning.

Dare i say, it was the player that was making it sound bad in your case?

Datsuzoku 04-01-2008 06:46 AM

For someone trying to call me an idiot, you're not so bright really are you?

Theres a good reason poplar isnt used much in professional kits. Its a soft, mediocre sounding wood. Sure you can EQ it to sound good, but who the hell wants a kit that only sounds good when mic'd?

Datsuzoku 04-01-2008 06:52 AM

I can't say i thought much of the sound in the audio either.

someone who plays mic'd all the time? Which is a lot of people who play larger sized venues like some bars.

I'm not arguing that the export is a professional kit, im arguing that its not terrible.

You're arguing for the sake of arguing.

You're arguing against a point i didn't even make.

Mr Pink 04-01-2008 07:43 AM

http://floodstagestudio.com/downloads/GMrakich-3DrumKits.mp3

While poplar sounds OK, there is a hollowness to the sound. The shell is really secondary to fundamental attack sound of any soft wood kit. For 99.9% of the world there is no audio difference between a $750.00 kit and a 7500.00 kit. It is only us geeks who can hear it. What a kit looks like is what the 99.9% of the peeps can relate to.

i beg to differ.

ace76543 04-01-2008 08:13 AM

Datsuzoku your entire argument is invalid.

"exports sound good."
"No. I don't think they sound good, therefore, no one should."
"I also think they sound good."
"You're an idiot, they don't sound good because my perception is superior."

Chippy569 04-01-2008 09:40 AM

in the overall factors that makes up the true perceived sound of the drum, the shell material (specifically from wood to wood) makes up maybe 3-4 percent? There's a whole list of things more significant to your drum's sound than its shell material.

Chippy569 04-01-2008 09:42 AM

if you really don't believe me, then check out this thread.

the drum is made out of one of those cardboard reinforcement tubes for concrete posts, with a wooden veneer around the outside. the last post on the page should have an audio attachment (you might need to be a member to hear it)

Janeway 04-01-2008 10:00 AM

How do chickens run?

Is there a specific word for the way they do it? Like "waddle" or something?

fishbulb 04-01-2008 10:27 AM

That is a very good question.

Why can't you say "run"?

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-01-2008 10:51 AM

Indeed.

Am tryin to find me all the old silent hill games

oliv_da_skinmasher 04-01-2008 11:56 AM
