Apocalyptica manage the whole thing pretty well, I thought.

yeah the album of metallica covers they did was brilliant

cant really see why they did 'sad but true' it doesnt have the brilliant sound that the others do...then again on one of their other cds the had a cover of fight 'fire with fire' so...


also apocalyptica had proper instruments and are competant musicians i was doing it on cubasis vst (think thats it), and the midi sounds arent brilliant on it

dude who saw the metallica movie and does anyone own it yet tell me if its good or not ive seen the one in theater but is it better on dvd with the extras or what?

i havnt seen it but i really want it, maybe i'll buy it from amazon tonight

I dont think James can ever sing like he did in the 80's because his voice has became deeper than then. You can start to hear the change in And Justice For ALL.. :) Its Sad but True......

i think he sounded best during the 'justice' period, but now he could never sing something like hit the lights the way he used to, which is quite sad really

also that was a bad joke, but you can have rep for the attempt :thumb:

IMO, James's best vocal period was during the Justice and Black album period...it started to get deeper after that. S&M is prolly the peak of him being able to hold the notes etc..like on St. Anger, some places seem like his voice is about to break..on S&M, it didn't really sound like that.

If they are recording now it'll be out around October maybe September

Recording began this year I believe. They'll tour before they release it though.

the release date depends on weather they had material going into the studio or not, if they don't then they will be starting from scratch but if they have the material then they just have to record it and then its done

I have a [U]real[/U] question now. (For gtr players and bass) the verse in mop on gtr in eight notes right? and the song has a tempo of 312, but i saw some jac[SIZE=3]kas[/SIZE]s say the notes are 1/16 and the tempo is in the 100s, but in s&m, lars does the 312 tempo. What is it?
