Desolation Row has awesome lyrics.
ok ok, i admit it, i'm a classic rock nut. i love led zeppelin, the beatles, the who, eric clapton, the doors, and so on. most of the bands i listen to broke up years before i was born. at 17, nearly every song on my playlist is older than me. but is it just my imagination, or is classic rock experiencing sort of a revival. i am running into an increasing number of classic rock fans my age. at my school (an all boys high school), the school newspaper took a poll of everyone's favorite genre and band. led zeppeling got 5th and the beatles got 6th, behind that rap crap. classic rock made up a large percent of ppls favorite genre. is this just by me, or are other ppl noticing this too?

o and for u classic rock fans, the crime of the new century was that the Yardbirds new CD, Birdland, recieved no attention at all. that deserved a grammy, or 6.

so are there any other classic rock fans out there, and even if ur not, have u been noticing somewhat of a revival in interest for that sort of music?
It's called classic rock now? ..... *pauses* *scratches her beard*.... Okay, I can dig it.

Actually, now that you mention it, I have noticed a bit of a revival in the *mimics her French-Canadian husband*... genre. I'm still excited after listening to Slash and Iggy's new band, Velvet something-or-other. People like Slash and Lenny Kravitz I just wanna hug and hand them a kokanee.

And Ozzy's still producing! I turned on this Dog show on A&E and heard Ozzy's support!

Actually, Bonzo -- and, btw, great handle -- in my view the great rock riffs haven't died nor have they rusted away. Folks are just paying attention again. And good for all of us.

(Nice post you put up there, I enjoyed it.)

I hooked my dad's turntable up to my stereo so I could listen to his albums, but I have to turn the volume all the way up to hear it, and even then you have to strain to hear it.
