i shave like a man, with a razor and nothing but a dry face.
Granted I don't have to shave my face, but...

Dude!, That's just silly.
Wouldn't that be like literally ripping the hair out of your pores?...

Double Bass Jim 10-04-2005 05:17 AM

Na it's doable but it's pointless, you'll end up with insanely dry skin and nasty looking shave burn.

Drum Phil 10-04-2005 05:18 AM

Pretty much. You also get pretty bad skin if you do that.

Anyone who thinks they can stomach this: CLICK HERE Then feel free. Its yucky.

And it involves this lovely lady:

Why... why would you torment us with such... UGHH.

Voodoo Rabbit 10-04-2005 05:24 AM

I read to about the 5th paragraph, and the whole talk of 'poo' put me off.

People like that are scary...

Drum Phil 10-04-2005 05:30 AM

Jezen 10-04-2005 10:25 AM

OH MY FARKING GOD!

What's the best thing you could possibly think of coming home to after a crap day of school (realistically)?

Well when I got home, I threw my bag done, took off my blazer and tie, undid my top button and sat down.

Hello British Boy

You received the following message from: davidh (*******@fsmail.net)

At: http://www.mikedolbear.co.uk/forum/

You seem very keen on Premier. I have a 1960s 14x4 "piccolo" Royal Ace
metal shell snare in very good condition I am prepared to donate to a good
cause like yours - better it gets some use than sitting in my loft. Are
you interested in it?

Dear Dave,

You bet im keen on Premier! I love their stuff. I would very much LOVE a
piccolo snare, especially a metal one, but I don't really have any money :(
If by donate you mean only charge me for shipping and give me the snare for
free, well that would be incredible! I have honestly never experienced such
generosity.

- Jezen Thomas

Good stuff - at least it goes to a good home.
I saw your pictures of the kit and was moved to move it on as it were.
I also have a lokfast stand for it I will parcel up too... let me know where to ship it to, unless you live with a reasonable drive of Guildford in Surrey.
I am an old fart who has been playing for 45 years and I my first kit was a Premier in 1962 - don't play too much kit now only in scottish pipe bands.
You are welcome to it - I thought your "extra snare" on the side didn't quite fit!
David *******
Thats a cool shot, what a background!
Yeah its Kiger Gorge in Southeastern Oregon. If any of you visit Oregon, instead of staying around Portland and the coast like most people do, go down to the Steens Mountain in the southeastern corner, nobody goes down there and it has the best scenery. Of course its all outhouses and manuel pump water out here, but its ****ing worth it.

Raime10 10-04-2005 12:03 PM

hello guys! i jus got my new set this morning.. here a shot. ^_^

Joonas P 10-04-2005 12:26 PM

I'm Joonas, it seems that I joined the forum back in 2001. Haven't been an active poster in at least a year, thou. Anyhow, I've been playing drums since the year 2000. I currently play in melodic heavy band called Opain and blues-rock band Mysterious Ways. I listen to music from jazz to thrash metal. Some of my favourite drummers are John Bonham, Mike Portnoy, JP Gastor of Clutch, Brain. The energy in their music and drumming moves and inspires me.

I'm 22 years old as I'm writing this. And I've got too many things happening in my life right now, can't keep up a very good posts-per-day status on this forum.

..and I wish I had the energy to practise as much as I did a couple of years ago.

Drum Phil 10-04-2005 12:29 PM

There was a thread asking about you a couple of weeks ago

Joonas P 10-04-2005 12:36 PM

I only read thru the first page of this thread, people were introducing themselves back there so I thought me too... well, my post is gonna stick there. This must be the first thread I've seen that's 375 pages long!

Drum Phil 10-04-2005 12:40 PM

Theres longer versions in the other forums, the punk one is huge

EDIT: British boy, to congratulate you on your new snare i found this:
You had to post THAT on my brithday?!
I actually read the related story for some reason. It solidified my belief that all fat people are evil. Except for Chris Farley of course, he is hilarious.

Jezen 10-04-2005 01:14 PM

Yeah I read the entire story also. I showed my neighbours. They both "dry-heaved".
