I've never listened to them, I'll seek them out
Holy ****, Tales From the Twilight World is good. I always liked it, but not nearly as much as this. Now it just exploded in my face.
wow this thread is old

It's probably my favorite BG. |
only BG album i still have is their debut
Don't bother, it's terrible.
This. Really disappointed. I didn't even finish the whole album. I'm definitely needing some fresh PM. |

You are hereby ordered by The War Council Of Power Metal Arcana to correct this at once! Seriously though I think that every BG album has been better than its predecessor. With the best being A Twist In The Myth and the worst (relatively) being Battalions Of Fear. |
I'm not as much a fan of straight PM, I mostly like 80s stuff and speed metal-type stuff like early Helloween. I did use to have their other stuff but it doesnt do it for me anymore.
Blind Guardian isn't exactly your every day power metal band, though.
Well yeah there's only so much you can listen to the same albums over and over. Have you heard their most recent one yet? It's anything but "straight PM".

No where near my favorite, though. |

Damn, you serious? Better Than Raw, though being one of their 90's albums, it's a wild ride. |
Anyone seen Edguy yet on their current tour? I'm going on Tuesday and would love to see a set-list.

They're coming to Vancouver, but apparently I need to be 19 to attend the show. What the **** is this ****? Soon enough it'll be a non-issue for me, though. |
You'll love 19+ gigs as soon as you're old enough to attend them, trust me

Can't enjoy most bands I like until then, though. :( |

If you can get out of it, don't go. I think that show turned me off from metal shows for a long time now. Not that Edguy was bad by any means, but I think the main problem was that there was no one in the crowd the least bit excited to see them, save like 10 people. So boring. Their setlist was something like: Dead Or Rock Ministry Of Saints Lavatory Love Machine Save Me Superheroes Babylon Vain Glory Opera Tears Of A Mandrake Whatever the third track on Tinnitus Sanctus was Part of Speedhoven tacked onto a song I didn't know And I'm assuming they closed with King Of Fools. I left before that. That setlist is nowhere in order either, nor is it complete. But yeah, quite disappointing. The opening bands SUCKED too. |
why the hell would they not play mysteria thats like one of their only 5 cool songs
he said the setlist was not complete
Shattered, assuming your list is missing a few, no Mysteria or Sacrifice as you recall or are those the only ones you remember?

Unless they played Mysteria in the last 10 minutes before I left, then no. I would have recognized if they played Mysteria or Sacrifice, them being two of my favorite Edguy songs. No, their setlist was centered around stupid Tinnitus Sanctus music.
I figured it would be but was hoping they'd get the essential classics in there too. Those two are probably my favorites as well. We got Sacrifice last time at least when they were supporting Kamelot.
Edguy not opening with Mysteria is major fail.
Yeah, we can easily ditch Save Me and Superheros for some Mysteria and Sacrifice. Oh well, should be a fun time anyway. Toby is usually entertaining.
The latest Lord Album is a good listen ...
Hell yes. Lord Tim is the ****.
<content removed, lol>
EDIT: Whoops, wrong thread, lol. To make this a power metal post: I listened to Sonata Arctica's Ecliptica the other day. |
