I wouldn't say that's completely true, just look at their new stuff. Most of their fans hate it and think it goes against what they originally stood for.

Darkthrone just makes music they want. It's obvious from interviews and videos that they are just a bunch of silly bastards who don't take anything seriously. What's wrong with following new "trends" (i use that term lightly) if you enjoy them?

i think that when the black metal scene exploded they just lost all passion for it and started living like celebrities and just recording album after album as a way of producing income
