My favorite art cover is powerslave, then in close second somwhere in time. I just love the egyptian look of powerslave.
Totally, the Powerslave artwork is tight, especially the album. I listen to Powerslave a lot. ;)

ashman 10-12-2005 07:56 PM

Has anyone seen the huge LP cover of Powerslave...there are so many comical references to everything...

Deth 10-12-2005 07:58 PM

Is there? I haven't seen it properly.
:amaze: how can that be????!!!?!?! is this a subtle hint that they are ending soon?
well bruce has metioned about ending in some recent interviews.......
also niko is almost 60

but i actually think they could replace niko. WE have had many line up changes and it seems that each new member has been embraced
adrian left, we embraced janik
clive left, we embraced niko
paul left, we embraced bruce
bruce ,left we embraced blaze

i

the_uber_penguin 10-13-2005 06:51 AM

Nicko's been in the band for 23 years now.

I don't think we'd embrace a new drummer, Clive had only been in the band 2 or 3 years, remember.

I'm not sure how well line up changes would go down. I doubt that the band would stop (I think Bruce and Adrian would keep driving the songwriting in the band if Steve were to leave - not like that's going to happen) but I think a line up change would seriously hurt the band.

I don't know - I hope they don't pack it in.

-The Frank 10-13-2005 07:27 AM

i think if they were to do a line up change they should bring back some of the old members.................................thunderstick anyone?

i really hope they dont end aswell. They are seriously my life. no joke. Only band that i havent stop listening to in the last year or so. cant stop, wont stop

the_uber_penguin 10-13-2005 07:30 AM

I think they should all switch positions for a song:

Drums: Adrian
Vocals: Davey
Bass: Jannick
Guitars: "The Count", Steve and Nicko
Keyboards: Bruce

-The Frank 10-13-2005 07:37 AM

hahah for a video ( i forget which one ) they actually just all did that to screw with their sponsers or something
hahah for a video ( i forget which one ) they actually just all did that to screw with their sponsers or something
i thought it was when they were forced to mime Bring your daughter... on TOTP for the BBC. that's why they didn't do TOTP until Run to the Hills was re-released.
hahahh the count

i <3 the count
Bingo...

the_uber_penguin 10-13-2005 02:15 PM
yes, who or what is this count?
The count is the unnamed member of the band who's been doing keyboards for them live since 1986.

Josh 10-13-2005 02:23 PM
The count is the unnamed member of the band who's been doing keyboards for them live since 1986.
me checks Rock in Rio cd slip insert thingy: "Special thanks to Michael Kenny for live keyboards."
right under where it lists the band members.

EDIT: he's on the credits in FOTD as well. so he's not exactly unnamed.

ashman 10-13-2005 02:39 PM

Didn't Steve, H and Dave do the Synths and keyboards for SiT and SSOASS?

Josh 10-13-2005 02:46 PM

i don't know, i don't have genuine versions of those albums so i can't look at the inserts.

Lord Abortion 10-13-2005 03:27 PM

I think he only plays them live.

Josh 10-13-2005 03:32 PM

but wouldn't they not mention him in the studio album credits unless he recorded?

ashman 10-13-2005 03:35 PM

Well they do thank all the guys who help them on tour in the books don't they?

Deacy 10-13-2005 04:06 PM
Didn't Steve, H and Dave do the Synths and keyboards for SiT and SSOASS?
They did it in the studio, he played it live.

smart blockhead 10-13-2005 06:49 PM

Can I get that bootleg Frank? Is it the same set as the one on The Early Years?

Here's my email: smh849@hotmail.com

I'm listening to SiT again, I like it better this time.

smart blockhead 10-13-2005 07:15 PM

I've got Iron Maiden, Killers, Number of the Beast, Powerslave, Somewhere In Time, and the Early Days DVD. What do you suggest I get next?

Lord Abortion 10-14-2005 04:22 AM

X-factor, Piece of mind or BNW

the_uber_penguin 10-14-2005 05:05 AM
I think he only plays them live.
Yes. I said he's unnamed because I didn't know his actual name, and he's not named as part of the band. He's merely credited as an add on.

He has one of the coolest jobs in the world, ever, though.

Deth 10-14-2005 06:00 AM
X-factor, Piece of mind or BNW or SSOASS
Fixed.

ashman 10-14-2005 06:04 AM
They did it in the studio, he played it live.
That's why he shouldn't be in the band, he doesn't play anything in the studio...however all those guys in Heaven Can Wait should be!!!

Lord Abortion 10-14-2005 06:46 AM
Fixed.
I was waiting for that to happen.

Deth 10-14-2005 06:47 AM

You can't get away with blatent errors like that.

Lord Abortion 10-14-2005 06:58 AM

I whole-heartedly apologise.

Deth 10-14-2005 06:59 AM

*Shakes head slowly in disappointment*

Now, what have learned from this?

Lord Abortion 10-14-2005 07:06 AM

We learned that SSOASS absolutely kicks arse.

And Any further misdemenours will force you to have me killed.

Deth 10-14-2005 07:10 AM

And that's the truth.

I feel like buying another Maiden shirt. Which one should I get?

Lord Abortion 10-14-2005 07:12 AM

The powerslave one on the megastore is pretty good.

Deth 10-14-2005 07:14 AM

I already have a Powerslave one. It has the Eddie from the CD itself on the front and a 'World Slavery Tour' thingy on the back.

It's one of my favorite shirts.
