:( What was so bad about it?

br3ad_man 06-21-2005 06:40 AM

Nothing was all that bad I guess. But nothing was all that good either.

Anyway, bed time. See you all later.

Avatars broken again? *posts to check*

EDIT: Oh yes. But mine doesn't look near as cool as it did when it broke the last time. Re-upload of the DVH coming up.

They performed it on Austin City Limits. It was pretty sweet. they had Steven Drozd's dad on tenor sax and Wayne even whipped out his theremin.

Yeah that one was cool. I think there's also a ukelele version with a little hula twist of course.

The NPC 06-21-2005 07:32 PM

Sup everyone. How's life going?

Ah good work. Are you off into the real world now or are you going to a college/university?

Luxor 06-21-2005 08:12 PM

Thank you sir. Coming September, I will be attending college for business administration.

I have no idea.

I went to the best show I have ever been to in my life last night.

br3ad_man 06-21-2005 09:06 PM

What show?

biografiend 06-21-2005 09:24 PM

Unwed Sailor. They sound somewhat like EitS. We were in this really small venue that had a max capacity of 40, so the whole show was really intimate and instead of playing guitars, they had 3 pianos, a drum set, and a bass player. It was unlike anything I have ever experienced in my life. And then afterwards we got to talk to them and all that and they were super nice and the bassist and I started talking about Mum and Explosions in the Sky and how I should check out Brian Eno, etc. It was sooooooooo amazing beyond words. They are so lovely. <3

Oh, you'll change your major atleast 3 times so you should just go in as an Undeclared student.

That's awesome. You'll remember that forever, one of those times when music is so much more than sound.

Tangy zizzle 06-22-2005 12:24 AM

I formed a band a few weeks ago, we're getting kinda good aswell.

We've basically based it on Black Sabbath/Blue Cheer, but with an organ and we listen to a lot of Pavement and Can together.

We don't really sound like that, it's more of a fuzz-pop Stooges with fucked amps.

Ha, sounds fun anyway. Bands are always fun times.

Tangy zizzle 06-22-2005 12:36 AM

Yeah 'tis fun.

We do these when we play covers: Black Sabbath - Lord of this world
Mission of Burma - That's When I reach for my revolver
Shellac - Squirrel Song
Flaming Lips - Jesus Shooting Heroin

Ha, I did a very weird and loud version of "Mica" by Mission of Burma a little bar show about a week ago.

/strolls into thread.

Evening everyone. I saw Batman Begins tonight.

Zmev 06-22-2005 01:12 AM

It was awesome huh?

Dog 06-22-2005 01:15 AM

I've made plans to see it several times within the past week but something always gets in the way.

br3ad_man 06-22-2005 01:18 AM

I should be seeing it tomorrow night,

Tangy zizzle 06-22-2005 01:23 AM

It's pretty badass, esp. for a Bat-flick.

br3ad_man 06-22-2005 01:26 AM

Well, Batman is the coolest of them all

Tangy zizzle 06-22-2005 01:30 AM

That is so very true.

The NPC 06-22-2005 01:36 AM

What about Rat Man the Wise?

Glitterati 06-22-2005 01:39 AM
It was awesome huh?
The only other report I've heard about it (outside of reviews and things) said it was awful. Too cheesy, or something.
