Reno 911! is the best show ever. Strangers With Candy and Stella are very funny too.

cbmartinez 06-13-2006 03:58 PM

Strangers With Candy is funny when your baked. Other than that, pretty weak.

RetiredAt21 06-13-2006 04:00 PM

I think Strangers With Candy is funny anytime. I love that show.

cobert 06-13-2006 04:04 PM

I didn't think that Stella show was funny at all. And i havent seen enough Strangers With Candy to say anything about it.

RetiredAt21 06-13-2006 04:04 PM

You need to man up.

Brain Toad 06-13-2006 04:05 PM

Stella was funny.

Strangers with Candy was kind of stupid.

RetiredAt21 06-13-2006 04:06 PM

Strangers With Candy is hilarious. HILARIOUS.

deadohiosky9 06-13-2006 04:11 PM
Stretch Armstrong (The toy) > Neil Perry > Neil Young> Neil Diamond > Neil Armstrong > Stretch Armstrong (the band)

That's more like it.
dude the toy sucked

whenever i played wiht it it's arms would harden and break.

i just learned some sick songs on acoustic i'm pumpeeed

Brain Toad 06-13-2006 04:21 PM

I had a stretch armstrong and the dog, and it never broke the entire time I had it until my younger cousin was over for my grad party and broke Stretch and the stuff got on my dresser and I had the chisel some of the coating off my dresser just to get it off.

I also just realized it's been a full year since I graduated high school.

cobert 06-13-2006 04:25 PM

Thats why you need to keep it in a warm place. Dont disrespect the Stretch, i'll get my niggaz all up on you.

Matt? 06-13-2006 05:27 PM

someone should tab out the bridge section to capn jazz precious for me

bottlerocket 06-13-2006 09:57 PM

My friend had a vision and now I'm starring in a zombie flick set to Chiodos songs...

....:amaze:

Wicked lame idea, yeah, but we listened to the songs and he explained the script and it really does seem pretty bad ass.

AIRIC 06-13-2006 10:54 PM

Haha Chiodos are sooooo bad.

Matt? 06-14-2006 05:05 AM

i have a vision of a version of the crucible where when john procter gets hung he like falls out of the screen (like below it i guess) and then he climbs back up the rope with a machine gun and it turns into like a gore movie

i wanna make silent movies those are my favorites
South Park f'ucking rules.
Yeah it does.

Matt? 06-14-2006 10:39 AM

it isn't very funny anymore, most shows i used to love aren't.

bottlerocket 06-14-2006 10:42 AM
Haha Chiodos are sooooo bad.
I didn't write it, my friend did. :p

I think they're pretty lame. I used to like them a lot then I was like, "...wait...what am I thinking?" Now I don't listen to them by my own volition but my friends like them so sometimes I'm stuck with it.

New south park is really, really clever in my opinion. Most episodes follow the same formula though, Political characatures of the left and right wings, the boys not fully understanding something political/sexual/social or episodes about poo. Love it all the same though.

Same for me and bands like UnderOATH and Atreyu. My friends love them. I just don't get it, and whenever they scroll through my Ipod they are like, WTF you don't have any UnderOATH. I just don't get it.

Matt? 06-14-2006 11:40 AM

there's this scene kid in my gym class who always talks to me about hardcore bands he likes.

i think he thinks i like like classic rock or some **** haha. like he "educates" me about hardcore bands like fata and underoath and atreyu

They are very clever and still immensely hilairious. Example the recent episodes about Family Guy: It pretty accurately described Family Guy's humor which has being going downhill A LOT lately, but at the same time it was very poignant and snide in the description of the country's over-political correctness towards Middle Eastern extremists and how in reality the people of the country would literally rather bury their head in the sand then deal with these real problem.

ALSO THEY WERE MANATEES COME ON THAT IS AMAZING!

Matt? 06-14-2006 12:03 PM

i enjoyed that episode but i didn't think it was really funny.

family guy sucks so hard now haha

The most true episode I ever saw was the Paris Hilton episode. Hit the nail right on the head. In the UK where only up to family guys 4th season, but the randomness of it I do quite enjoy.
South park > family guy

Indeed that episode was awesome "BUTTERS YOUR GROUNDED!" "I'm just no good bad ol' bear."

Do not even get me started on Butters. What a character.

IM HAVING TROUBLE EXPRESSING MYSELF
BUT I HOPE THIS ONE DOES THE JOB

i like sitcoms more then cartoons. i only really watch standup and seinfeld/ curb your enthusiasm now.

i will watch the sopranos when it comes on dvd

whiteminority 06-14-2006 12:10 PM

I know, I thought the end of that episode was the funniest she is up Mr. Slaves ass, I mean come on what the hell.

Matt? 06-14-2006 01:38 PM

you know what really grinds my gears, when i can't find the lyrics to the song i'm listening to.

NATIVE MOTHER FUCKING NOD. Those lyrics are over on songmeaning, im pretty sure.

Sopranos is great. Theres only like, 8 more episodes left until it ends in Janurary.

Matt? 06-14-2006 02:04 PM

nah i'm listening to olive tree now. songmeaning has a lot of stuff but not that much really. his voice always like drops out at times and the production (lol) makes it so that at times the music is just way louder than the vocals :(

like seriously wtf is he saying in the very first like three words of a good man is hard to find?

and the part about wounds of black and scarlet something something...

:(

bands should put lyrics on their websites. that should be like a website requirement

and they should have websites for us nerds sakes.

cobert 06-14-2006 02:12 PM

Yeah, but think....if you were in a band like that, you'd be all like to your bandmates "Rofl you know what would be cool is if we had really bad production and we said 'ROFL ITS RAW AND REAL' and then if we didnt post are bands lyrics on the site cause then we would look like dorks for giving people are lyrics which they cant hear because of the ROFL RAW AND REAL production".

Matt? 06-14-2006 02:17 PM

i would then respond with taste my raw and real big johnson.

i mean wtf every band should have a website. unless you actively detest it/ suck/ don't have computer access.

AIRIC 06-14-2006 02:21 PM

Who here likes Xiu Xiu a lot?

I know someone is a really big fan but i forgot.

Matt? 06-14-2006 02:25 PM

they're my favorite band

Mute Print 06-14-2006 02:31 PM

Xiu Xiu is playing here in the fall, I think.

I've never heard any of their music.

cobert 06-14-2006 02:34 PM

Whoooooah, its the Bri-man.

Mute Print 06-14-2006 02:35 PM

Yep. Lurking H/E, as usual.

cobert 06-14-2006 02:44 PM

You should post around here more often.

Mute Print 06-14-2006 02:56 PM

Shall do. Most of the emo fans in this forum seem cool. It's more the hardcore guys that have kept me from posting as much as I'd like to.
