its crazy how you have to competely rework and retrain your voice when you get sick or you dont use them for a while.

witchxrapist 10-29-2010 07:23 PM

Yeah, I can't do my inhales anymore. :(

That seriously sounds ILL for mids.

beans 10-29-2010 07:25 PM

thats something i never got used to, inhales always hurt way too much for me to ever pursue them properly.

witchxrapist 10-29-2010 07:26 PM

Like I mean I can, it just currently tickles my throat since I've been sick. They sound like shit on my bands current recordings.

ModsRBiased 10-29-2010 07:27 PM

alcohol weakens immune system

witchxrapist 10-29-2010 07:28 PM

Good thing I barely drink anymore.

Also, got the flu from smoking with a friend.

christsimpson 10-29-2010 07:29 PM

wow. this is seriously hilarious to read. just because it's so far from my universe. (not putting down taking vocals seriously. it's just so weird to me.)

witchxrapist 10-29-2010 07:30 PM

I like skramming and singing keeping my voice in shape generally lol.

beans 10-29-2010 07:33 PM

i do enjoy them clean vox too, just a bit more hit or miss really

christsimpson 10-29-2010 07:33 PM

it reminds me when I went to a show and a friend of mine who is in a Christian death metal band talked about what he drinks prior to and during shows and his vocal warm ups to the vocalist of Quiritatio, and asked what his techniques were, and the Quiritatio dude looked like this: ????????????????????????????????????????????

shit was too funny.

ModsRBiased 10-29-2010 07:37 PM
Christian death metal
much funnier

witchxrapist 10-29-2010 07:39 PM

like faith is dum

christsimpson 10-29-2010 07:40 PM

dude is great. he had a Christian black metal band which was really rad. (yes, he did realise "Christian black metal" was teh lulz to most people.)

beans 10-29-2010 07:48 PM

christian black metal is pretty lulzy
just goes against what it was started for in the first place is all im sayin

christsimpson 10-29-2010 07:51 PM

actually black metal was just started as "evil metal". the Norwegian kind everyone knows was just an attempt to make death metal more extreme. so no it doesn't at all. also like 50% of all black metal is Tolkien stuff, lol. anyway his band was pretty cool as far as I remember.

ModsRBiased 10-29-2010 07:54 PM

christian bm is just as contradicting as hipster bm

both are a joke

witchxrapist 10-29-2010 07:55 PM

bands that get labeled as hipster bm are generally regular bm bands

but you dont even listen to real black metal so i wouldn't expect you to understand

Im surprised there still isn't a review up for new Conducting from the Grave. anyone else checking this out now?
Im on my 4th listen through and not convinced its as good as their last. Best part of Legends was the catchy-as-all-hell harmonized guitars, which are barely here on this album. also the breakdowns on 4 and 5 are god awful. last 2 songs are pretty dope though

Juddybear 10-30-2010 01:57 PM

invert the inverted croooosssss

really didn't like the first track put on their myspace, was hoping for better considering I've had to say "i hope the rest of the album is better" for the majority of shit this year. I will probably buy it though

idk, when the source material goes against everything that christians stand for, pretty dumb to try and play that style of music that has been based off of hatred of your beliefs.

But I do agree with you, there is no black metal bible that says no-christians
just find it pretty dumb. thats all

christsimpson 10-30-2010 07:39 PM

the music scene did not occur to provoke Christians. it was an attempt to create the most extreme and obnoxious form of music ever. Christians can be extreme and obnoxious too.
