College/university = hard school. Unless you are in office admin, then it is a joke.

I am completely obsessed with the new Bowling for Soup album.

BenJammin 11-13-2006 02:52 PM

Anyone here like Feist?

Jimbobntnr 11-13-2006 02:55 PM

never heard them. Anyone have a Fenix TX cd that they want to share/trade?

BenJammin 11-13-2006 02:57 PM

Well, Feist is a singer/songwriter.

Of the 3 songs up on her page, Mushaboom is probably the best, but I really like Let It Die, too.

I'm a sucker for music like this, though.

Akira 11-13-2006 03:04 PM

It's okay, not really my cup of tea.
It's okay, not really my cup of tea.
Yeah. I'm quite partial to her voice, and her lounge-esque style.

Spaceman Spiff 11-13-2006 03:07 PM

I've heard a bit of her stuff. Mushaboom is a great song.
I've heard a bit of her stuff. Mushaboom is a great song.
Yeah, it really is. I got a copy of her remixes album for really cheap, and there's, like, 4 different versions of Mushaboom on it. In the liner notes, she was talking about how they did one remix and then someone came along and wanted to do another one, and then a third person and then another person and then she was just, like, "Alright, enough remixes of this song!"

Spaceman Spiff 11-13-2006 03:09 PM

And speaking of which, I think I recently heard Mushaboom on a Levi's commercial or something. I always hear classic songs on Levi's commercials, like Faith No More's cover of Easy.

Edit: I knew it! She is one of 17 million members of Broken Social Scene!

Ben, since I'm on my huge Decemberists trip right now, and I know you like them.

You can download the show I was at from that link there. They're all FLAC files, so it's fairly large, but the quality is pretty good. I'd say it's worth it. :D

Just checked, 665MB.

/cries

That's huge.

/goes to download

I'll convert them later.

Spaceman Spiff 11-13-2006 03:24 PM

Yeah, I don't have anything to convert it with, but I should probably find a program to do it with sometime, because I've got a few concerts in FLAC format on my computer that take up a large amount of space.

And archive.org is actually one of the greatest sites.

Yeah. I'm trying to see if I can kind a recording of the RHCP show I was at.

Spaceman Spiff 11-13-2006 03:31 PM

Do you know a good program for converting audio files?

I have one, but it doesn't do FLAC for some reason.
