Aaron 10-03-2005 09:49 PM
Jims words of daily advice...
Not even, I'm broke man.
there's a lot of yard work that needs to be done at my house. i'd be willing to pay you at least $2 an hour plus a glass of tap water (no way are you getting the bottled kind).
jim your a ****in pansy, i shave like a man, with a razor and nothing but a dry face.
rockindrummer 10-03-2005 09:55 PM

What once a year when stubble comes in?

Seriously shave with a dull razor sometime, you have to go over it a million times over and over.

Win A Rabbit 10-03-2005 11:24 PM

haha i know what you mean jim. there's nothing worse than that. and considering i let mine grow out long before i ever shave it, it's so much worse.

i just got another half hour lecture about drinking/school, and how i turned out to be the complete opposite of what my mom hoped i would. all thanks to my friend telling his mom that "all of us" (really only 4 of the 8 people) were drinking this weekend at the elementary school with "a bunch of grade 9's we didn't even know", even though it was 3 girls that i've known for years, who walked by and stopped to talk to me for 10 minutes, and they weren't even drinking.

Double Bass Jim 10-03-2005 11:29 PM

Haha exactly ^ I figured you'd know about that

Aaron 10-03-2005 11:33 PM

hey jim, what do you do for a job? always wondered.. my guess with primary school teacher for some reason!

Win A Rabbit 10-03-2005 11:34 PM

whoa, i have stars.

 if it's not too much to ask, could i not have stars? i don't really want any, but thanks for the thought.

today, i had home-made lasagna for the first time in my life, over at my friend's house. it was actually really good. and the other day was the first time i had home-made pie, and it was her grandma that made it. she made like 8 pies, they all looked so good.

PowerStamp 10-03-2005 11:34 PM

DUDES

Tonight was amazingly technical loud slow fast and powerful.
First INTO THE MOAT

WHOA!!!
I've heard their CD but these guys rock. Tehnicality out the arse, yet still very heavy.

CEPHAELIC CARNAGE (sp?)
Death/Black Metal, whichever one, but hey, they did a **** good job of it. The singer looked like Ron Jeremy. Very heavy but yeah. Good show.

BETWEEN THE BURIED AND ME
Killer. Freaking killer. Every sound was perfect.

BLACK DAHLIA MURDER
5 big dudes playing some killer metal, the 4 in front (IE all but drummer) in Hawaiian shirts, lol
It was funnier cause all the scene kids bring beach balls to El Torreon and there were about 5 of them tonight being tossed on stage (and then kicked back off)

Seafroggys 10-03-2005 11:38 PM

Yeah I tried shaving with dull blades it sucked, it hurt more then anything, like it was pulling the hairs out instead of cutting them. and i hadn't shaved since wednesday, so they were fairly grown out.

So what's everybodies preferance? Electric, dual bladed, triple bladed, etc?

I use both dual and triple. The triple is a closer shave, but I like my dual more because of the handle's form, plus I know what make it is so I can replace blades.

Aaron 10-03-2005 11:44 PM

dual bladed disposable with that allo vera strip on top.. use one with really-hot water, and throw away

Double Bass Jim 10-03-2005 11:45 PM

Single blade, non-floppy tip so I can shave nice staright lines.

Win A Rabbit 10-03-2005 11:46 PM

i just use whatever my mom picks up. i usually use a blade 2 or 3 times, and i shave once every week or 2, so a blade lasts me like a month. i've tried an electric razor twice, but each time, my hairs have been to long, and the razor just ripped them out of my skin, leaving a big patch of bleeding skin. ouch, that hurt so bad.

i'm thinking about buying a trimmer though, since i like having a bit of hair on my face, but usually not a full on beard. i don't like shaving it all off, since i'll go 2 weeks with hair, then 2 days where there's pretty much nothing, and it just looks weird. i'd want like a barber's trimmer, where you can put a numbered thing on top, so it would only cut it to a certain length. plus, if i ever got really bored, i could draw designs in it... i'd have to be REAL bored.

Seafroggys 10-03-2005 11:50 PM
dual bladed disposable with that allo vera strip on top.. use one with really-hot water, and throw away
Invest in a reusable shaver (with replaceable blades of course) much better, higher quality, it'll save you money in the long run and you'll get to know how your shaver works real well so you can do things fancier or faster.

BTW I shave three times a week (mon wed fri) unless I want stubble then usually once a week.

Double Bass Jim 10-04-2005 12:01 AM
i'm thinking about buying a trimmer though,
Yea get a basic one, good thing to have.

poppinfresh 10-04-2005 12:04 AM

haha i use a dual blade, ive been using it for five months now hahaha. With no water or anything like a real man. I do like the ones with the little strip though, they make me feel happy/

Double Bass Jim 10-04-2005 12:08 AM

Real men don't shave... so we're all wrong.

Aaron 10-04-2005 12:11 AM

haha i like the strip cause i have eszma and get rashes from shaving cream, so hot water and nothing works best for me.. i shave every other day during the week and friday/sat night..

Seafroggys 10-04-2005 12:19 AM

I use hot water, no strips, no nothing except hot water (and always after I get out of the shower).

poppinfresh 10-04-2005 12:33 AM

you pansy

poppinfresh 10-04-2005 12:55 AM

i would like to wish a happy rosh a shana to all of my D & P friends.

goodnite

Seafroggys 10-04-2005 12:59 AM

This is a pic of me a year ago, from July 04. This shaving talk reminded me to post this pic up of me, I've never posted a pic of me from this 'era'
dual bladed disposable with that allo vera strip on top.. use one with really-hot water, and throw away
I always wanted to try a cut throat razor. I use a triple bladed disposable thing. The blades are disposable but it sends electric pulses through them to get a closer shave. Gilette mach 3 nitro

Voodoo Rabbit 10-04-2005 04:18 AM

I just had to spend the better part of an hour and a half cleaning and disinfecting the kitchen.

It wasn't all that bad.

I was singing and dancing along to 'The Beatles'...
I think I'll have to go make pancakes to make it smell less like a hospital...
