Riva 12-16-2004 04:24 AM

I see. Well, thanks for lying to MX, Mr. Mod. :)

munky_magik 12-16-2004 04:32 AM

are you as heartbroken as I am?

Bartender 12-16-2004 04:32 AM

Lying? I said "I think", didn't I.

Anyway, I think I'm bored. I want to go rent a film and get lunch, but I have to wait for my grandma to turn up for a bit first. How's your day so far?

munky_magik 12-16-2004 04:39 AM

was that directed at anyone? or just generally?

Bartender 12-16-2004 04:43 AM

Just generally :)

/rare smiley usage

Riva 12-16-2004 04:46 AM

Well, my Grandmother lives in Adelaide, so I cannot empathise with having to wait for her to visit my house.

However, do go and try and track down that Garage Days video. The Australian film, you know?

munky_magik 12-16-2004 04:47 AM

ehh...it's not been too bad, I need to go to school in about 10 mins though :(. But only for two hours and those two hours are gonna be well spent playing poker.

And on Grandma related issues, my last surviving one is coming over from Finland on the 21st. Unfortunately her health isn't so good these days so this might be the last Christmas the she spends with us

Sorry to hear it. How old is she?

munky_magik 12-16-2004 04:52 AM

in her 70's. She has eye problems and blood problems yet insists on flying Helsinki>Amsterdam>Edinburgh all by herself.
Guess where the stubborness in my family comes from

/is off to school see you all in a bit

Bartender 12-16-2004 04:57 AM

Enjoy your pokering.

BoboTheRagingHobo 12-16-2004 06:34 AM

Werd up.

My guitar teacher gave me this Igor Stravinsky album : Petrushka The Rite Of Spring...and it is a really cool piece of music.

Bartender 12-16-2004 06:35 AM

Score. I just found a pound in the street.

He's got this own way, of getting things done,
He's always looking out for number one,
Don't try to beat him, 'cause he's already won,
And he's..

I didnt go to school agen today, second time this week because of the stupid hospital appointments. But i have my stars! :)
Tmoz is last day of school... And its only a half day.... Followed by what will turn out to be a weekend long party of some kind.

munky_magik 12-16-2004 06:43 AM

lucky for some. I've still got 4 days left

Bobo, how long have you been taking lessons for?

BoboTheRagingHobo 12-16-2004 06:48 AM

With this new teacher which is a great teacher mind you, its been like a month and a half...

He got straight A's in all his music classes in college and teaches really well...my other 2 teachers I have had sucked...

Arucard 12-16-2004 06:52 AM

Yeh, ive just recently got a good teacher, and im currently learning out of some of the Troy Stetina books, theyre good. He plays in a Santana tribute, and theyre **** good. That Anarchy For The Uk guy needs to die/perm ban, he does my head in. After 230 posts youd think he'd like some good bands but noooo....

munky_magik 12-16-2004 06:55 AM

he reminds me so much of that eleventeen guy

Edit: He's entitled to his own musical tastes it's just when he tries to "prove" the band's he listens to are good that he pisses me off.
Each to their own, but he could also broaden his horizons a little.

And the Wildhearts shoulda been on your list somewhere :p

Arucard 12-16-2004 06:58 AM

yes, but eleventeen liked some good music, his taste is pure crud.

gmoneyguy 12-16-2004 07:00 AM

I have school in like 5 min. Tomorrow is the last day before winter break!!

munky_magik 12-16-2004 07:02 AM

how come everyone's school is finishing this week, apart from mine? :upset:

Otherside 12-16-2004 07:02 AM

Meh, I have midterms in exactly 29 minutes. I'm not too excited about that.

LordDargon 12-16-2004 07:11 AM

So I ressurrested an old, dead thread topic...

Again...

Here goes...

About long songs, check out that song by Mistiggo Vargoth Darkestra. It's like 1:14 long.

munky_magik 12-16-2004 07:20 AM

That's got anything I've ever heard beaten

Edit: I believe this is natures equivalent - http://www.hervey.com.au/Whales/humpback4.htm

Arucard 12-16-2004 07:45 AM

lol. That Anarchy guy needs to Shut the **** up. Im reccomending him for a banning for starting such a stupid thread, then using poor argments in it.

EvErLaSt 12-16-2004 08:16 AM

I gave him negetive rep...

munky_magik 12-16-2004 08:17 AM

Assuming you mean 74 minutes, Delirium Cordia is that long too. A Night in the Forest by Uruk Hai is close, 72 minutes long.

EvErLaSt 12-16-2004 08:27 AM

Thats a whole CD for one song? Presumably it changes a lot throughout, so its like having a normal album with the songs blended into one another?
