yeah
luckily, for me, i wont have to pay the top up fees cos i'm already at uni
they're going to put them up to about 3k, from 1 1/2k, but they want new laws to allow universities to charge as much as they want. so u might have to pay up to 10k like the yanks if that happens!

gunna have a huge debt by the time u finish!

fatbandit 04-28-2005 02:29 PM

Shiiite...

I'm gonna try for that £2700 a year grant from the government, which should cover a lot of what I have to pay per year with any luck...

ElKapitan 04-28-2005 02:36 PM

well, all this is on the basis that u take the loan and have to pay all the fees
it's all income assessed so u mihgt not have to pay the full amount

Finishing school, or whatever study you are carrying out, is always a hassle....I'm on my side didn't quite know if I was gonna be able to gradutae on time.....hadn't I done it I would've lost my job....anyway, don't worry so much...things almost always sort out at the end.

jaco jr 04-28-2005 02:47 PM

what are fees like in the US
ive always thought studying there to be cool

Left Shoe 04-28-2005 02:48 PM

fees over here vary greatly with whatever school you want to go to

ElKapitan 04-28-2005 02:48 PM

yeah
i find going with the flow is the easiest option. there's no reason worrying about stuff all the time, there's time for that sh|t when ur older with a mortgage and kids!

ElKapitan 04-28-2005 03:07 PM

Radiobass81 04-28-2005 03:08 PM

The best school in Puerto Rico is free.

Guess who (a VERY VERY SLIGHT chance) may go in 11th? :)

fatbandit 04-28-2005 03:09 PM

Well, my dad is the only person earning in my house, and his earnings aren't high. I reckon I'll be on £30/week for EMA next year, so I'm hoping that a Uni grant would be pretty generous too.

Ten seconds left until midnight
nine chances to drown ourselves in black hair dye
eight faces turned away from the shock
seven windows and
six of them were locked
five stories falling
forever and ever
three cheers to the mirror
now there are two of us
can we have one last dance?

emo lyrics para tu

ElKapitan 04-28-2005 03:16 PM

yeah, the government will probably pay some, if not all, of ur fees. also, u might be able to get some hardship grants from uni and seperate institutions
my girlfriend gets about 5 1/2k a yr loan and another 5k a year in grants and subsidies cos she lives with her nan
u also get a bit more for living in London due to the increased living costs
