wtr, wretched and agatg are all pretty sweet live. not really bands i'd go out of my way to see though.
|
I'd go to Philly to see Within The Ruins, js.
|
hey my bandīs recording is almost done....
Iīm the singer btw. I guess Iīm gonna post a link as soon as itīs done compeletely. |
WTR are fcking great, really like the new album. same with ID, nice to see them leave Meshuggah territory and move more towards "breathing is irrelevant". but the lyrics on the new album are pretty awkward. i heard from mappy that is tru for the new WTR also.
|
I haven't even read the lyrics yet. Probably best I dont, it sounds like.
|
i dont wanna either. like, some of ID's vocals are pretty intelligible, and some are p cheesy.
|
listening to Sumatra - Heliocratic Infinity, some pretty awesome deathcore
|
you mean pretty awesome melodic death metal watered down with breakdowns, lame clean vocals, and overall faggotry
|
have to agree, not my cupotea

I like how you can hear Seb's vocals from his mouth and through the PA because of where the camera is. |
stuff definitely has some groove to it.
they look good, id wanna hear a recording w/ some better quality vox |
The only recording they have is their worst song (first song they wrote). :(
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cZSZzsGhmcM And Seb's vocals sound really weak on it for some reason. But this song sounds way better live tbh. |
listening now. they dont sound too bad.
these guys sound like oceano-bigblackmanvox |
You can hear very minor voice cracking, and just over-all, for him that's a weak performance, like compare to that video, or if you've ever listened to Omerta, Neveragainforyou/In Confidence, or Entrails you'd understand.
|
literally never heard of any of those. checking into now.
|
Entrails sucked. Omerta ruled, and In Confidence was okay.
And yeah, local bands I whored befo. http://lvoldschool.blogspot.com/search?q=omerta Awesome melodic hardcore band. |
yeah omerta was the only one of those 3 that was any good
|
In Confidence was awesome when they were Nevergainforyou. Then they changed their sound because George got sick of deathcore I guess.
|
mappy http://www.sendspace.com/file/rdogrr
the vocals on track 3 & 4 are fucking ill. |
http://www.myspace.com/lornashore
This band is fucking good live. |
i like the vox a lot
|
he's like 20x better live
|
watched the one video they have on the page, didnt really impress imo but thats just one vid, i bet they would be pretty awesome live
|
He was insane on Saturday... well his highs were weaker, but his lows were fucking nuts. But it was the second show they played that night, which = good hustle.
|
fo sho. i've played 2 shows in one night last halloween, it was extremely hard to make it to both of them on time and ready to go
props to em |
The closest I ever did to two shows in one night was Paraphilia's drummer's brother had a kegger while we were practicing once, and then we played a show in Bath that night. I love that though, scream like 5 hours earlier in the day and then your vocals are completely on point for the show.
|
wurd
everytime i've practiced the day of a show my vox are spot on. i feel myself getting a bit inconsistent though, really need to stop smoking and drinking so much... :/ |
Yeah, since I've cut back on both drinking and smoking, my hardcore vocals specifically have gotten way stronger, my voice used to crack like the dude from Salt The Wound all the time, but like, I'm comfortable doing them live now and it rules.
I'm weening myself off cigs again because my mom showed me this study in a magazine she got that was saying cigarettes may be linked to dementia and I was like... uhhhhh. |
yeah i definitely need to do that, i dont do much hardcore vox in any of my projects, more lows/mids and super shrill highs. Mixed w/ a bunch of super low gutterals.
|
Ever since I got the flu my lows have been sounding weird, but I'm starting to get that range back.
