So I talked to my friend from the praise band and I'm just gonna go to practice anyways and hang out even if they don't want me to sing. We had planned on hanging out afterwards anyways, so this way I can make a point by showing up anyways. I'm told that the group in general wants me there but the leaders don't, so ef it.

idk man... i think we all should serve God with our talents and if yours is music, thats what you should do. plus you help others to worship. but thats my opinion, i play in my church's band and we see it that way. the only difference between us and the rest is some music gear in front of us to me.

you are right, prayer does help calm yourself because you're talking to nothing, there is zero chance of someone laughing in your face or judging you. It's secure and a lot of prayer happens when something that makes you insecure happens
