I saw it, it was so awesome. Cool concert footage too.
It was awesome. I like to watch PBS at night they show some pretty cool shows. Right now there's a show about protest songs on and Chuck D, Bob Dylan and a few others are on it.

Didn't they air the Grateful Dead Movie once?

I know they aired the Closing of Winterland a couple of times, it was particularly memorable as the commentator guy mispronounced St. Stephen

Yeah, I didn't even watch all of it. I wish I had because now I am desperatly searching for it without avail (you know, without actually buying it in the store)

PantsAreForJackasses 09-30-2005 11:13 AM

All I have to say is-Clutch, bitchesss

Everlong 10-01-2005 05:01 PM

I just started to listen to a few Phish songs and of the ones I've heard I'd say "Farmhouse" is my favourite.

Yeah I think they aired it on New Years Eve. They also aired this.
phish thing on New Years too.

jpj 10-03-2005 04:59 AM

No, it's basically just a concert film with some interviews and backstage footage thrown in, and animation.

Badmoon 10-03-2005 06:52 AM

Yeah, it is not a documentary. The largest portion of the film contains concert footage, but there are also sections of animation, backstage footage, and a montage of pictures from their past to current.

why dont you ever come talk to us anymore?

in the cr thread, that is.

Broken Arrow 10-03-2005 01:51 PM

Because Lunch hurt his feelings.

Walrus Gumboot 10-03-2005 03:32 PM

I didn't care so much about the movie until I read what epic energy was wasted on it. Something like two years and endless months of constantly editting drained their budget, and they sey the best part is the opening sequence anyway. I still want it. I asked some kid if I could borrow it but he's not so good with remebering things, and really good at avoiding me, and I don't feel like harrasing him. I might find someone else with it or just buy it. Or get my friend that has netflix to order it. If that doesn't work it will probably come on PBS again

Jam2Me 10-03-2005 07:36 PM

I'm gonna see Trey at Oakdale in November, then I'm gonna see Phil & Friends in December, punctuated by Medeski Martin & Wood, Galactic, and The Black Keys. Those are some big names, I'm pretty pumped!

Trey played through the 2nd half of Abbey Road when I saw him in the spring. It was awesome. Have a good time.

Badmoon 10-04-2005 06:42 AM
Because Lunch hurt his feelings.
That was never the reason. I took that as a joke.

I've just been finally going outside, I'll stop by more.

jpj 10-04-2005 01:24 PM

I keep bringing up the SCI show to my mom, and she never gives me a straight answer. It's on the 14th so I'm running out of time! I don't think I'll have trouble getting my dad to take me to Phil Lesh though.

Broken Arrow 10-04-2005 01:58 PM

Why is your dad a deadhead?

Phil isnt coming to to Canada. :(

No, he's just a nice guy and likes good music :)

Walrus Gumboot 10-05-2005 07:28 PM

Whenever I go to a concert with the parents, someone always offers them weed, and they have to say "I'm with this kids... can't" and then they offer it to me and I have to say "can't smoke tonight, I'm with the parents" It's a little bit funny

Broken Arrow 10-06-2005 02:46 PM

Find the connection between me and Walrus. You Can find it by reading certain thing on this page.

Walrus Gumboot 10-08-2005 11:27 AM

I might just change my user title just to spite you

Broken Arrow 10-08-2005 11:43 AM

haha, go for it. I'll find a comeback usertitle.

ShineOnYouCrazyDiamond 10-09-2005 10:52 AM

can anyone give me an opinion on Brothers Past? I'm seeing them open for STS9, but I haven't heard anything about them

ben d 10-09-2005 02:20 PM

i saw some great jam bands at austin city limits. robert randolph and the family band was amazing live. widespread panic was almost as good, until robert randolph joined them. i almost splurged in my pants. i was in the front row for both shows. what do yall think about yonder mountain?

jpj 10-09-2005 04:02 PM

I quite enjoy Yonder Mountain, I don't own anything by them though.

pegwedge 10-09-2005 07:19 PM

I love Yonder Mountain. One of my favorite jam bands. I think it's because bluegrass is relatively new to me. I saw them at All Good this year and they truly kicked ***. I came away from All Good more of a YMSB fan than anything else.

Badmoon 10-09-2005 08:35 PM

Elevation is a good album. It's got a lot of great songs, and some great writing.

Broken Arrow 10-11-2005 03:05 PM

I cant say I've heard there music before.

Jam2Me 10-11-2005 07:02 PM

YMSB rocked out at BSC this summer too, did a little jam with New Monsoon that was sick.

pegwedge 10-11-2005 07:48 PM

Yeah, one of the guys from Leftover Salmon sang with them on a song, and then Keller Williams came up for the last song and they jammed for a bit and then segued seamlessly into Keller's set. It was pretty cool.

Walrus Gumboot 10-12-2005 12:37 PM

I am doing everything I possibly can to see Phil Lesh and Friends.
Possibilities:
Hire a Taxi
Get my dad to drive
Don't go

I am assuming that going either way would be worth it, what do y'all think?

Broken Arrow 10-12-2005 02:21 PM

I like them all except Don't Go.

I'd try to get your dad to drive because taxi drivers can be a little creepy.

I need to get my tickets for that soon.

SCI in two days, I hope the seats don't suck.

Broken Arrow 10-12-2005 02:42 PM

Are they playing with anyone else?

jpj 10-12-2005 06:17 PM
Are they playing with anyone else?
Some guy named Chris Berry. I listened to a song sample on his site, it kinda sounded like funk/reggae-ish stuff.

Walrus Gumboot 10-13-2005 08:18 AM

New Topic: Discuss means by which to attain better seats, and methods that work

I find that if you want to go up front and it's not general admission, you can just flash the guards your tickets, and they usually don't check, so you go down as far as you can before they catch you

jpj 10-13-2005 01:17 PM

Walrus Gumboot 10-13-2005 02:47 PM

I don't think that would work for 15 year-old boys, but then again

I think that these Halloween Avatars are making everyone spamier
