I'm generally more surprised when people don't like them.
Last.fm hasn't updated me yet.
Nor mine :(
I like everything Ive heard from them, which is minimal. And is why Im expanding what I listen to with them. Im trying to find some good PM bands, I should give a listen to Sonata Arctica..
If you're liking power metal, I think there's a good chance you would like Sonata.
Me too, I'm not a Stratovarius fan.

Well, i agree with Bartender, Stratavarious bores the living hell out of me, but i love Sonata.
I think it may be something to do with Tony's voice. |

I'm listening to more of it now and I really don't like his voice. NP: SA - 8th Commandment |
I like Sonata Arctica. Much of their stuff is upbeat almsot to the point of sounding gay, but I like it. Good cheesy power metal.

Some of their riffs annoy me, but overall I really like them. A lot of people around here love Weezer
Well they have stuff (quite a bit of stuff, now) that sucks, but you don't have to like all of a band's output to like the band. I suppose I should say I'm surprised when people don't like at least something by them. |

But, you dislike Blind Guardian right ? Oh and, I didnt get your post about telling me to get that album when they were strill known as Therapy? But I shut my mouth seeing that I seemed the only one not to get it...:upset: |

I like the Blue Album a lot, and the fairly new one isn't too bad. I still need to decide which Therapy? album I want to buy. |

I hear Make Believe sucks beyond belief, though. And, yes, you do. NP: Darkthrone - I en Hall Med Flesk Og Mjød |
Yes, I do need to decide on a Therapy? album. You suggested Troublegum, I think I'll go with that one.
I hear Pinkerton was awful and helped coin the term and style of music now known as "emo" (I don't believe the last bit). I like Tired of Sex (awesome solo) and I don't really like the rest of it. I heard that about Make Believe too, but who do you hear that from is the question. If you hear it from people that only liked Beverly Hills chances are they don't know what they're talking about . It can't be that bad |
Holy shit almighty, my charts are a tad one-sided this week, as well as containing many things I don't remember listening to.
WP: Blink 182 - Down
:( That's one of the few Blink songs I like. Tom's voice drives me nuts in a lot of songs, though, like in "I Miss You" where he's all like, "Where are you, and I'm so sorry..." ... it just sounds bad.
Baha Men, right. This should be a game; guess Jom's last.fm stats.
Hahahahaha. Luckily, I reviewed that album before I got my new account. |
Well, i agree with Bartender, Stratavarious bores the living hell out of me, but i love Sonata.
Oh, yeah, Sonata Arctica is the Journey of metal. SOO singable and badass. Stratovarius is incredibly wanky though, and their singer is typically bleh. |
Yes, I do need to decide on a Therapy? album. You suggested Troublegum, I think I'll go with that one.

I like everything I have heard from it, though it did take more listening than the Blue album, which was instantly catchy. I'm certainly picking up Pinkerton of one these days, though. EDIT: to the rest of your post: I haven't heard a single positive reaction about it, except allmusic's rating. Stupid allmusic. I don't dare to go listen to it, it will shatter my Weezer dreams.
