"I've Got a gun in my hand, but the gun wont ****. My fingers on the trigger but the trigger seems locked. I cant stop staring at the tick-tock clock. and even if i could I would never give up. With a vest on my chest, a bullet in my lung. I cant believe im dying with my song unsung. And if and when i die wont you bury me alone, cause ill never get to heaven if im singing this song."

SO **** AMAZING!
I love the song, but i'm to stupid to understand the lyrics. Please explain to me what that song is about. Sucide???

BTW. My vote goes to Maco's surgestion.

AIRIC 09-27-2005 01:31 PM

Does anyone think that those lyrics are related to Keasby Nights?

pedro durruti 09-27-2005 02:00 PM

They are Erack you fool!

AIRIC 09-27-2005 02:02 PM

I knew it, I sensed it!

It's the second part to the song Keasbey Nights.

AIRIC 09-27-2005 03:15 PM

I wouldn't say that, It's not really a sequal. Just ironic.

Tomas said this. (I can't remember where though, but I may be able to find it)

He got shot even though he had a bulletproof vest on (it probably went through the armhole, btw) and he's losing blood and going into shock and it's making him unable to defend himself.

Thank you

when streetlight covered 'hey ska' by the suicide machines.....I died. I'm still recovering and that was february 3rd 2005. Learn some of the bass parts I learnt a couple the other day, they are a lot of fun to play.

skankthenspank 09-28-2005 01:54 PM

my friend lent me a couple catch 22 and streetlight cds, its been a few months and i still haven't gotten them back to him i feel really bad about it.
i have Catch 22's Dinasour Sounds....anyone recommend a better album from them? I wasnt to satisfied with that one
contrary to popular belief, that album is quite good. But Catch 22 Live in New Jersey is amazing. The vocals and hornlines are all tweaked, and show off what they've gained since Keasbey Nights. Also, Alone in a Crowd is a great album. :thumb:

Henrik 09-29-2005 01:11 PM

Hmm, The live album is decent, but nothing special. I like the change with the horns in On and on though.

I'm seeing Streetlight tomorrow. If they cover that song, I will poop myself.

Henrik 09-29-2005 03:16 PM

Is suicide machines worth a listen if I love Streetlight??? And which album?.

AIRIC 09-29-2005 03:17 PM

They're not really similar, but Suicide Machines are really good.

Skidmark Steve 09-29-2005 03:31 PM

I liked Battle Hymns, Their self titled was the only one that I couldn't stand.

Steal This Record isn't that good either, but the rest are real good!

KingOfSka 09-29-2005 07:57 PM

I just got the Catch 22 live DVD. It's awesome.

AIRIC 09-29-2005 07:59 PM

I've seen them live twice. Both times were relatively dissapointing.

J_McMeaty 09-29-2005 08:04 PM

When I saw them everyone but the tromboner had quite a bit of energy, he was just standing in place the whole time with his too cool for school shades.

It's annoying how the DVD is slightly different to the CD. It doesn't have the bit where the guy throws up and stuff.
whose better live...Catch 22 or Steetlight Manifesto?
Let's weight it out:

Catch 22: not good live

Streetlight: Amazing live.

AIRIC 09-30-2005 01:35 PM

Yeah, Catch 22 suck live.

Dude3 09-30-2005 02:56 PM

Well, Im leaving for Ska is Dead within minutes/hours. I can't wait! I'm really going for Streetlight Manifesto. I was lucky enough to get their only date on this tour, in St.Petersburg, Florida. From what I've heard, The Supervillians kick some major ass aswell. I've been meaning to check some more of The Toasters out, so this concert should get me connected.

I've been wondering(along with many other locals) whether The Toasters or Streetlight are headlining. I'm assuming Streetlight are, because its their only date on that tour, and the Ska is Dead website has them listed above the Toasters in many instances(like the posters and and band listings, etc..)

Buzzbomb 09-30-2005 05:26 PM

I know im off topic but is the Suicide Machines new album any good?

KingOfSka 09-30-2005 05:28 PM
I know im off topic but is the Suicide Machines new album any good?
Their older stuff is better.

Buzzbomb 09-30-2005 05:29 PM

I know, but is the new one any good? It seems more political then the rest.
