This is also a good call.

I just have some speakers and a subwoofer that plug into my laptop externally... I can always turn the master volume up on the computer.

Ugh, I just cannot STAND Dashboard. I'm sorry to anyone who likes that band.

I am trying hard not to spam, but I don't have anything good to say right now.

I think I found my new gimmick.
I care. That is what differentiates me from the beasts of the wild. Intellect, courage, love, friendship, compassion, and empathy...each of these qualities was as important to the human species as all the others...some people thought only intellect counted: knowing how to solve problems, knowing how to get by, knowing how to identify an advantage and then seize it. All were important factors that had contributed to the ascendancy and supremacy of humankind, yes, but the many functions of intellect are insufficent without courage, love, friendship, compassion, and empathy. Efilnikufesin, 24 time (a)

I can't wait until uni is over.

Bobo, thank you for your kindness. Maybe you can hop in a time portal and bash his face in with a sledgehammer for me :-*

I will be more constructive when I get back.

Never get married.

Bartender 04-11-2005 07:16 PM

I never intend to. Late, and pointless now, but I'm alright with the idea of your pop-punk education thread.

Antihero - liking the quotes :)

There's little as satisfying as a good quote.

Where do most of you buy your music?

Why not heh?

That's no fun then...

Various online stores (mainly Amazon, Supernal and lasercd), and then just any CD store I can find in whatever area I'm in at the time. Unfortunately that usually that means just HMV and Virgin Megastore, but provided it's not metal I'm looking for, they're both decent places to go.

Occasionally (not as often as I'd like), independent stores (mostly stalls, either at Uni or the market), which often have a very good (non-metal) selection.

You?/Why?

How do u take screen shots like that?

Kurtz 04-11-2005 07:31 PM
You?/Why?
Curious.

I live in a ridiculously boring city, and I have to go about 10-15 minutes away to Long Beach for a Tower Records.
How do u take screen shots like that?
On your keyboard near the top you should see three keys. ONe of them should look like "prt scr sysrp" or "Print Screen". Hit that, then open MSPaint. Paste it, save it, then host it on tinypic/Photobucket.

Print Screen, above the insert key. Open paint, Ctrl + V. Save.

BoboTheRagingHobo 04-11-2005 07:36 PM

I have to go to drive to a place that is 45 minutes away to a with a poor selection of metal if I want any none-mainstream metal...

They have some...but they are missing alot and it is a bitch to dig through the place to find what you want as well.

Endless Obsession 04-11-2005 07:37 PM

Alright thanks both of you.

But save it as a JPEG or it will be incredibly high in size.

I guess that's the price you paying for living on a mountain in the middle of a permanent ice storm, with nothing but a goat for transportation :)

I actually love digging through stuff at record stores.

Tower Records is meh, alright, but only good for mainstream/semi-mainstream/and metal that is about as rare as In Flames and such...

I live quite aways out of Portland, and it is in the Downtown Portland area which adds another good 10-15 miles to my trek.

And when I am looking for something specific I hate digging and the store is a mess when it comes to trying to find stuff quickly. Especially not worth is when you go searching for say Behemoth or Arcturus for 10-15 minutes all together and they have neither, as in never carry them. So meh, not my thing really. I did find a Vintersorg cd and snatched it up quickly since it was their only one.

Edit : And the reason to why I don't like searching it, is the fact that they have all the genres mashed together. So say you are looking for a metal album, you will be looking through : punk, rock, jazz etc etc artists at the same time.

I can see how that would be annoying if you were in a hurry, but when I can be bothered to go shopping (for CDs or books or anything like that), I like to spend ages doing so, so something like that would be pretty good.

Kurtz 04-11-2005 07:56 PM

Ah.

I'm going to have to go to Cypress come freshman year, which sucks, because I sort of want to go to Los Al.
