Thanks, I'll have to look into that.

EDIT: Haha, Br3ad man, look at this. This is me and my girlfriend talking on MSN.

:upset:
 your girlfriend sounds cool. Rachel > all other female names

I'm really digging "Amnesiac" today. I think it might overtake Kid A as my favourite album ever some day.

I just got "The Name of This Band Is Talking Heads," a killer 2-CD live album. Over 2 and a half hours of the band playing live in '77, '78, '79, '80, and '81. It's amazing stuff.

I also just got Mike Watt's "The Secondman's Middle Stand" which is an incredible album.

I highly recommend both.

Tangy zizzle 09-05-2004 03:49 PM

Is that the new Mike Watt? I really wanna hear it. What's it like?

Zappa 09-05-2004 03:59 PM

It's got a lot of elements of progressive rock. The instrumentation is just bass, drums, b3 organ, and voice, so that should give you an idea of what the overall timbre of the recording is. The bass occasionally sounds like a guitar. The songs are basically all great, with memorable melodies and interesting instrumental parts parts surrounding them.

Tangy zizzle 09-05-2004 04:08 PM

I'll give it a listen. Sounds nice.

biografiend 09-05-2004 04:19 PM

british sea power have grown on me. great band.

Tapeworm 09-05-2004 04:57 PM
So, someone just sent me Zombie by The Cranberries over Litnin's new multimedia sharing system, and I was blown away by it. Is any of their other stuff good, and can you guys reccomend me some? Thanks.
Most of The Cranberries stuff is incredibly good, I've been meaning to buy an album for a while. I can't really recommend anything particular though..

limemachine 09-05-2004 05:37 PM

Definitely lots of Brand New's first album,Queen, and a lot of Bright Eyes stuff (Conner Oberst is an amazing writer)

br3ad_man 09-06-2004 05:38 AM

I'm obessed with Sigur Ros' "()". I haven't heard an album is beautiful since....never.

Happymeal 09-06-2004 06:08 AM

I'm new to Sigur Ros. Is Staralfur on ( )? If it is I'm gonna buy it sometime. It's cheap here too!

I'm prog tripping right now. Rush's Vapor Trails and LTE's 2 are so addicting. If I can only find Australasia somewhere here..

Tapeworm 09-06-2004 06:16 AM

Wow. I just got Missy Higgins' "The Sound of White". Wow!

Tapeworm 09-06-2004 08:30 AM

I also reviewed Ryan Adams' "Love is Hell" last night, check it the heck out!

Happymeal 09-06-2004 08:54 AM

I'll give Missy Higgins a listen since I'm kinda in a slump right now.. Nothing I listen to right now turns me on.. Hope she's as good as you say it is.:) Anyone here know The Kings Of Convenience?? My friend got me curious..

Tapeworm 09-06-2004 08:59 AM

Rad. The Kings Of Convenience are awesome. :thumb:

(not as good as Missy).

SalomeHigher 09-06-2004 01:42 PM

i've been digging the melvins lately.

Happymeal 09-06-2004 06:27 PM

I knew you'd say that Tapeworm.:p I'll check out both if I have the time, school's starting tomorrow!!!

I just downloaded the whole The Fall Of Troy self titled album, and holy crap it's so good. Anyone who likes At The Drive-In made more technical and 10x louder(okay, maybe not that loud) should listen to them.

br3ad_man 09-06-2004 06:40 PM

^^^
All of the tracks on () are untitled...but it's so good.
i've been digging the melvins lately.
