man, I suck at pushups. I can only do like, about 3 or 4 sets over time, 10 at maximum, I find it kinda annoying cause I can lift most weight machines on a reasonably high setting now

chinups are the worst for me i've just got zero strength in those muscles

its because you're using machines

use free weights and your pushups will be 666x easier

I am using free weights

I do about 6 sets of 45 pounds

well pfffft you were relating pushups to machine loads you can do

well I should clarify, that is 12 reps of each. but in any case the free weights don't seem to have helped me much on that account either
