Ahhh. I remember when we used to have rap conversations and he called Aesop nerd rap. I told him he was stupid because Aesop is awesome.
Aesop is awesome and Joe is pissed off big style.

So i go to this gig tonight to play drums, i have all my kit, its all good and we start playing. The house 'bass drum' (use that term losely) had a ring so thin that my DW 5000 series pedal wouldnt clamp to it. Thats right, one of the most expensive pedals on the market WOULDNT clamp to a bass drum.

Then, the bass drum starts moving backwards at an angle, not taking my pedal with it. At this stage, i am shit scared considering this is my first gig with this band, and i had only jammed with them once on Friday. To make matters worse, i had to go through a whole song with NO BASS DRUM. NONE. I hate house kits so much now.

 :upset:

Jum did it, I don't think I saw who won though.

Um, yeah.

I would never use house equipment if I could help it. Ronnie Earl had to use a house amp, an old Fender Twin, when I saw him, and while it sounded decent I think it was a bit shrill and lacking in variety of sound. His own equipment was in another city, by accident.

Arucard 06-12-2005 04:04 PM

All i ever wanted was to pick up on the day (?)
Put the pieces back together my way....

Dancin' Man 06-12-2005 04:04 PM

Cain - Yeah.... I think I had around 150 posts yesterday. It took me around 5 months to hit 1000 posts.

Joe - Our drummer has never used a house kit. We always asume his is better and to play it safe by bringing his along.

^Pick apart the day

ATM 06-12-2005 04:05 PM

My post count goes up like crazy. I don't even seem to post that much.

Arucard 06-12-2005 04:05 PM

Yes i know this, but i had been told the house kit was alright, and i couldnt bring my bass drum, let alone my kit, on the train with me.

Cain 06-12-2005 04:06 PM
My post count goes up like crazy. I don't even seem to post that much.
You post regularly in a lot of different forums though. I usually restrict myself to Politics and R+M. And I usually don't find many threads of interest in either forum. The homosexuality threads of late have been quite stimulating, although Non Sequitur is pissing me off, since I'm deconstructing and destroying his arguments against homosexuality but he goes selectively deaf to the actual points and counters with the same old stuff.

I don't intend to get into a debate about this here, as I know certain people would agree with Non Sequitur, it's just that his method of debate is truly irksome.

Silent Death 06-12-2005 04:06 PM

Hey sup guys, whats up? I wen't to that Martial Arts compititon yesterday and placed 1st in a few things :thumb: was really cool. I got to meet Bill "superfoot" Wallace. Got pics with him and stuff was awsome.

Permanent Solution 06-12-2005 04:08 PM

I bought drum mutes today...I hate them so much :( (but have to use them when I'm not home alone)

That sucks, I hate those things too. I'm lucky because my mom dosen't care that I play them.

Dancin' Man 06-12-2005 04:12 PM

I was typing out Night Light and then realized it was taking forever.

Illmatic 06-12-2005 04:13 PM
Yeah, he got it from her AIM profile. :-/

BTW: I love your idea for us to all be in a house together, ATM. That sounds hysterical. I wonder what I would be doing?
You'd be the token "Guy who's too normal to be popular on a reality show".
Didn't she stay on the phone for 20 mins
He made that part up.
although Non Sequitur is pissing me off, since I'm deconstructing and destroying his arguments against homosexuality but he goes selectively deaf to the actual points and counters with the same old stuff.
Non Sequitur really pisses me off in the Sports forum...every single NBA-related thread turns into a debate between me and him.

EDIT: $%)*$Y% Vince sighting!

Yeah, if it was just not as loud it'd be fine, but it messes up the balance of the drums, slows technique and changes sound...no fun.

Dancin' Man 06-12-2005 04:14 PM

I still remember when Eric posted audio of Zero playing guitar. It was hilarious how he defended himself.

Either that, or please explain the circumstances?

Yea, I guess that's true.

Oh, it's not meant to be mean. On every reality show (The Real World in particular) there's one guy who's too normal and well-adjusted to stand out. Nothing wrong with that.

ATM 06-12-2005 04:21 PM

That's it, I'm getting an Eddie Hazel avatar.

I'm rocking out so hard to Cosmic Slop right now.

Ah, I see. :p I still think the idea would be funny though. We'd have to import lots of hotties to keep our house from being a retarded sausage-fest though.

Yeah, madey's obviously not going be enough to suffice (especially because she behaves like a guy most of the time anyway)

A few of the guys (me, ATM, Jelle, I think you, and DM) have girlfriends but we wouldn't bring them into the house...that would just be weird.

ATM 06-12-2005 04:26 PM

Beer
CS : Source
Manga
Manga
Manga
Guitar

Btw, im working on a Black Metal solo project at the minute, i will post the results in about... 2 weeks.

My girlfriend would probably bitch slap me, and call me a nerd.

And, to answer your other question, Ray, he asked me about blowjobs. Incessantly, and without any discretion or decorum. Creepy bastard. He then proceeded to tell me to relax, he was just seeing how long it would take for me to end the conversation.

I don't know how to block people on AIM :(

lunch998 06-12-2005 04:33 PM

That would be weird. It would be especially funny if we didn't really get along so after the stay in the house no one posted at R&M anymore.
