Untitled 04-28-2006 11:27 AM

I see, but a mac desktop could be a mactop.

Dead Star 04-28-2006 11:32 AM

Mac kinda sounds like lap though.

Untitled 04-28-2006 11:44 AM

But, lots of things sound like Lap.

Tapcop
Craptop
Sattop

Dead Star 04-28-2006 11:49 AM

But it was very witty of me to call it a Mactop.

As it is a Mac.

PDWAB 04-28-2006 11:52 AM

I'm watching Edward Scissorhands right now. I like it, but I can't shake the feeling that Something Very Bad Is Going To Happen.

Untitled 04-28-2006 11:52 AM

Well my pc, and my new one infact, is a dell...

So, i have a Delltop!

:-/

Dead Star 04-28-2006 12:07 PM

You're just using my idea now.

Kif 04-28-2006 01:08 PM

It's the Mactop, mainly because MacBook Pro sounds wicked gay. Mactop just sounds awesome. If I could incorporate Kif into that name, I would, but it doesn't sound as cool.

/me downloads CD copy of A City By The Light Divided

NP: Apocalyptica - Path vol.2

Kif 04-28-2006 01:15 PM

I have to be up at 7:30 tomorrow, at my friend's for 9:30, then it's off to Give It A Name for about 10 hours of musical sex. I found out that Say Anything and TBS don't clash as well, which is freaking awesome. It means I can see both!

bottlerocket 04-28-2006 01:16 PM

Wicked sad movie...=/

Hey Vince, what's your opinion on College of the Holy Cross for a chemistry major with a concentration on biochemistry and a physics major (I'm double majoring)?

Dead Star 04-28-2006 01:26 PM

Never seen it tbh.

Hah, well I am not too familiar with it so I just perused the website to get a general feel of it...

I think that 3-2 Physics program is really cool myself, you get a BA and BSE in 5 years, not bad at all. Of course you are already double majoring so eh.

The biggest issue I see is (and no slight to you intended) that you have to apply to the actual programs after you're already there doing pre-req courses. UW (Washington) had a similar program for engineering my dad went to and he got screwed because the first semester he didn't make it into the program, mostly because there were many students above him who hadn't gotten admission on their first shot. So those apply after you're already in the program kinda deals always seem shady to me, but beyond that it looks good. I'd also see what sorts of companies recruit there and see if any of them really interest you as a career, unless you're going to grad school in which case the only thing that matters is saving money on the undergrad education.

Hah, wow. That's like younger than my little brother. Jamming with him would be crazy as is. I jam with my middle bro all the time though.

Granted he's 17 :p

Haha, how embarassing :-\

I think that's one reason I don't teach...I know my students would surpass me and make me feel like an idiot. :(

That's how I am, I'm a really good snowboarder, but I just have never spent time in the park and learning tricks, I want to next winter though.

It's his most famous piece bar perhaps the 5th symphony.

I am a good skier...but I couldn't teach it because it's just natural to me. I actually don't have great form, but I can make it down a double black in great time with the most talented of my friends. I don't do tricks really though..

Moonlight Sonata is one of the most amazing pieces of music ever written. I can play most of it too.

I'm off to Junior Prom. :(
