I was underwhelmed by the new Electric Wizard, seemed a bit dull to me
|
I think it's really fucking good, none of their albums will even start to compare with the brilliant Dopethrone but it's definitely a solid album.
|
I thought it was pretty average, got bored of it about halfway through but I will have to try it again. Probably put it on par with Witchcult at the moment.. If you miss old Electric Wizard check out the Witchsorrow album, really fucking good.

Yeah, no offence, but I assumed/pigeon-holed you as a guy who mainly listens to rap - since you and Mitch are always on about "lil' B" and stuff haha. So far I would have to agree with Txus, it's pretty solid. |

I really liked Witchcult Today (almost as much as Dopethrone), but idk guess I felt this one was a little flat |
Never bothered with Doom.
I'll stick with emo, hardcore, house and dubstep tyvm |
this is a silly way to approach music

Withcult Today was great, probably my second favorite Wizard album. I think I'm going to put Dopethrone in a bit after Negura Bunget and Hour of 13, should be an elite night. |
frankie listen to Worship you silly
|
Is Electric Wizard like old school doom or really aggressive or depressive doom?
|

Its stoner doom, but heavier I guess |
Mm, stoner isn't really my thing usually.
|

|
frankie listen to Worship you silly
I may give some a try eventually but I'm on a massive screamo binge at present. |

Stick to tech death. |

|
I like a good mix of stuff. I do mainly listen to rap though.
Yeah I hear ya. It's nice to have some diversity on the ipod/mp3/whatever you use for music. I definitely credit this place for expanding my horizons musically, otherwise I'd still be listening to KSE, Breaking Benjamin and Yellowcard lol. I still enjoy those bands though from time to time. |
shortz is an elitist in the making
|
i'm an elitist in the unmaking
|
I'm the only one here who would admit to liking a couple of Nickelback songs.
Okay, maybe Alex too, but probably just to go against the grain. |
^ I like some, "Leader of Men" is my fav though. I even went to a concert (but only because Yellowcard was opening ) and even though I'm not a huge fan, I have to admit they put on a decent show.
shortz is an elitist in the making
I pretty much am, the people I have the most "compatibility" with on last.fm are from mx (minus Haz - sorry Haz!) and my friends who were on it prior to adding mx peeps I have like "very low" compatibility, it's horrible  I need more hipster shit :( |
nickelback is post ironic social commentary and will be viewed in 20 years as more important than the velvet underground
|
Never bothered with Doom.
