I would Love to do transylvania, its awsome, i have ripped of a part of it and used in one of my bands songs :p or we have a different chord progression...
Well I don't mind playing Transylvania, I could do both H and Daves riffs, I could manage...

Thunder Fingers 05-30-2005 03:15 PM

deppends if we get abortion to sing, and what gurs wanna play, and an maby 2nd guitarist...(i dunno WHO though... anyone know if Ydload only play bass, or if he can play guitar?)

GurS 05-30-2005 04:07 PM

Thunder Fingers 05-30-2005 04:24 PM

I only play bass, and Transylvania is tricky enough as it is. I really like the octaves Steve plays in the solo section though. You know, the one which has the traditional Maiden progression of E-D-C-D-E? It's fun. :)

Also, if you want a singer that won't pale in comparison to Bruce, just do a Di'Anno song!

Egads, I can't do the intro, it's an awkward arse of a Janick Riff.

Thunder Fingers 05-31-2005 05:52 AM

I've never really listened to myself sing (it's different when you're singing without a microphone/PA), so maybe I'll give it a go soon, if it's terrible, we shall never speak about this again, if it's good, I'll give you guys a sample.

my band wanted me to hum in the background of a song, i sounded like a tractor..

crag 05-31-2005 06:47 AM
Hmm...yeah, it's gonna look like that.

That narrows us down to: Transylvania, The Ides of March, Genghis Khan or Losfer Word (Big 'Orra).

Unless we can find another Guitarist, it looks like I'll be harmonising by myself :amaze:
he's better at death metal vocals than Maiden style vocals, he's good at Maiden stuff but not as good as he is at Death metal type stuff. and i don't know if he's got any way of recording, as we're off school this week...he might not be on MX for a while, depends if he's at his mother's or father's i think.

Ya hired. Thank god for that, I was having terrible visions of me bending out of tune for both parts of the harmony...

So what song are we doing?

Iron_Maiden_890 05-31-2005 01:03 PM

GO IRON MAIDEN! Best band in the world. (in my opinion) Steve Harris rules at Bass and I am totally blanking on the lead singers name but he has an awesome voice.

I love The Trooper, The Wicker Man, and Fear of the Dark.

I watched 'heavy metal flying' yesturday, i was amazed that bruce made a show about the history of planes interesting.

Is there anything that man can't do?

Also i saw Bruce's new song on scuzz today, good stuff.
