The Wizard of Oz 06-27-2006 06:53 AM
Aren't you guys got sick of Dream Theatre yet???
no? why would we?

The Wizard of Oz 06-27-2006 07:00 AM

Well that kind of music has no longetivity.

eug008 06-27-2006 07:18 AM

Don't worry, you don't need to keep checking in on us, were not gonna be sick of them any time soon :thumb:
Damn, you're lucky. Only place that sells stuff that cheap near me is a nice used place which sells albums for three dollars but their selection is dependant on what people sell them. My freind and I once bought like ten pretty rare albums there, though.
Aye, they are good shops - but low in selection. there were only 3 DT albums there today :/ but like a whole rack of Rush albums.

I bought Images and Words today though, listening to it now. I've heard Another Day before - eeeexcelleent .. :)

HMV & Virgin suck, no DT albums in sight - but I always get tempted by their sales heh.

i had a dream i had to go to a play with my parents that i didnt want to go and on the way home we were walkin and i saw john myung and i got his autograph and picture and when he signed the paper it was like threads of strings and his eyes were almost popping out (it was very strange wen i saw him i couldn't believe it i couldn't speak which is surprising since john petrucci is my hero not myung)

i know. im weird lol

zealous 06-27-2006 11:19 AM

That is kinda weird and freaky! I wish I had dreams like that haha - well erm

GenuineImitation 06-27-2006 11:23 AM
Well that kind of music has no longetivity.
Well I have been listening to them for about 2 and a half years and I love them more every passing day. Its cool if you dont like it, but saying that it has no longevity is ignorant.

As long as I can still hear James' voice every time I put Surrounded on...there's no way I'm going to stop listening to Dream Theater

eug008 06-27-2006 06:07 PM

His voice is excellent on that song and album

ghettoeddo 06-27-2006 06:57 PM

his voice is excellent in general.

i think most peopel dont know his voice has been impaired for several years now...and is only JUST returning back to full strength. he injured his vocal cords or something because he vomited after some bad food.

you gotta give the guy some credit for still being able to hit the notes he can and singing like that after melting away your vocal cords.

NP: the great debate-dream theater
i love that tribal drums-tool-ish drum part in the middle :]

lak89 06-27-2006 08:12 PM

i thought James's voice was at his best on Images And Words, it was truly an amazing performance

DreadedShred 06-27-2006 08:24 PM

Dream Theatre = Untalanted

Malmsteen + Steve Vai + Michael Angelo Batio + Nitro + Racer X = more talanted than Dream Theatre

no question John Petucci Sucks at technique

Atica 06-27-2006 08:25 PM

I really admire James, he is a great singer and composer.

I will never get bored or stop listening Dream Theater, they are my heroes. :)

bwnstl 06-27-2006 09:44 PM

Malmsteen better than DT? Hah.....hahaha..............hahahahahahahahahahahaha:amaze: :amaze: :amaze: :amaze:

Element of LED 435 06-27-2006 10:31 PM

hey thanks for trolling.
dbag.

no one likes you right now. well...just in the DT thread haha.
but really...if DT has no talent at all, then armageddon will occur in the next 24 hours for sure. oh and reality is nonexistent.

you dont have to like 'em, but to say they have no talent and petrucci has no technique? phew...the main argument against petrucci is that he's all technique and nothing else.

inassociationwithdeanlearner 06-28-2006 02:02 AM

 oh dear, some of these people are quite deluded.
You get that email eddo?

I love the way that in that song they dont take any particular stance and just outlay both sides of the argument, the lyrics are really clever as well...who wrote them? cus i definitely think they are some of DT's best.
