They're supporting FOB. Chemist (err..Wasn't sure if I should use your real namelol):  I love that part. |
Supporting FOB? It should be the other way around. That's ridiculous.
|
Fall Out Boy are better than Plus 44 anyway.
/awaits massive entourage of blink fanboys set to flame me into next week. |
You dont need to be a Blink fanboy to realize how bad FOB is.
|
Fall Out Boy are more talented lyrically and more original than Plus 44, There both probably on a par for instrumental simplicity.
|
I don't think either FOB or Plus 44 are all that original.
|
Me either but Fall Out Boy have pioneered the new style of pop punk, where as +44 are just Blink with a few differences.
|
Me either but Fall Out Boy have pioneered the new style of pop punk, where as +44 are just Blink with a few differences.
Umm..What? Where do you see this? |
Its pretty obvious, most pop punk bands that have started in last two years have had serious fall out boy influence on them, there the biggest band in pop punk right now
|
the biggest band in pop-ghey, you mean
|
did you think of that one on your own?
|
Its pretty obvious, most pop punk bands that have started in last two years have had serious fall out boy influence on them, there the biggest band in pop punk right now
RANT BEGINS. Are you joking? The biggest pop-punk band right now would probably been Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Panic! At The Disco, or someone like that. But sure as hell not Fall Out Boy. They've only just realesed thier new album, and I dunno about other areas, but around here it's a joke. The new single gets little to no airtime, I've heard it once, and that was the premiere on Channel [V]. I know about 3 or 4 people that can stand them, and about 3 or 4 thousand that find them as annoying as I do. Name 5 pop-punk bands directly influenced by Fall Out Boy. Now times that by about 8 billion or so, and you'll have the number of bands influened by Travis and Mark of Plus 44. They may be in a defferent band now, but they are still as influential as ever. RANT ENDS. (Obviously I don't partically care for Fall Our Boy) Anyways... Woo, Plus 44! Baby Come On, new single, out soon! Woo! That means new video, woo! Okay, I'm finished. |
For serious.
FOB are a joke if I've ever seen one. And influenced people my ass. You're saying they're more influential than two members of Blink 182? You're coming pretty close to saying that Jesus never influenced as much as Moses did. Let's face it, Jesus kicked Moses' ass all over the fuckin' desert. |
i thnk fob are alright
but definately not the biggest pop punk band right now. |
Baby Come On, new single, out soon! Woo!
That means new video, woo! Okay, I'm finished.
Weren't they going to release 155 as their next single?...or have they already done that and this will be their third single? |

Note I said bands, read that carefuily Bands. Plus 44 have influenced almost no-one and Blink are no more. Five bands that wouldnt exist, without Fall Out Boy: 1. Treaty of Paris 2. Cute Is What We Aim For 3. Cobra Starship 4. Hush Sound 5. Paramore None of those bands would of had anyhting like the success they've had without Fall Out Boy and some would sound almost entirely different. So what if none of your friends like them, face the facts a lot of people do, they can sell out huge arenas across the world, they are a big band. Their new single is almost never off the music channels in the UK and i know there huge in the US too. Plus 44 are a generic but at times likable pop punk band blatantly living off their past glories with little new to really add to the scene. |

Read the full thing.

green day are mainstream rock?
wtf are fob then |
Fall Out Boy's new songs still maintain some element of pop punk where as I dont think Jesus of Suburbia, Boulevard of Broken Dreams etc.. do.
|
Because i've realised that although they are catchy the instramentation is laughable and that lyrically they are one of the most infantile bands ive ever listened to. I know that is missing the point of Blink but i no longer find them a "fun" band to listen to.
I agree with this. I also grew out of listening to Blink. It also had something to do with me buying my bass, and searching for bands with better basslines, like the RHCP... But i still listen to Blink...sometimes...like you said, the music is incredibly catchy. |
green day are mainstream rock?

can someone link me to the CSI episode that has Trav in it?
