Haha okay, maybe that 15 string bass is the ugliest thing I've ever seen instead.

2 string bass looks like it was made by the Dark Eldar.
I'm not sure if this is the same thing but it's from the same page

Still not taking it seriously.

Hilarious that there are actually strap pegs on it, as if there was a strap long enough and someone tall enough to utilise it .

Giga 11-27-2009 02:54 AM

i have no clue how you're supposed to actually play it

Cramboli 11-27-2009 03:12 AM

it's a group effort I guess... I thought it was a photoshoppe because of the pixelization between a few of them...

gaslight 11-27-2009 07:37 AM

The majority of the instrument would be unplayable, also, apparently every instrument is wired into one set single set of control knobs.

It just looks too stupid to be real.

That's a shop on Denmark Street in London, isn't it? On I went in there a few weeks ago.

Spaceman Spiff 11-27-2009 11:52 AM

I just emailed a couple craigslist guys. One about a tuning pedal. One about a gangster-looking 1990's white MIJ Jazzmaster.

Spaceman Spiff 11-27-2009 12:26 PM

So pumped for tonight. It seems like it's going to be a pretty good crowd.

fatbandit 11-27-2009 12:52 PM

If that is real, then for the price tag of £739 I would expect utter poop.

blacklungfever 11-27-2009 12:59 PM

You say that like it would actually be playable.

Get six people playing it at the same time in that standing up position it's in.

Hey, you're in Toronto. Come to the El Mocambo tonight to see my band. I've got free tickets.

blacklungfever 11-27-2009 01:07 PM

I live down the street from there, maybe I'll come check it out.

Playing the El Mocambo is fun.

Cool. We're the first band on, playing at 9:15, no later than 9:20.

And yes, the gangster downstairs, not the upstairs.

Simpleton 11-27-2009 01:41 PM

Sablate McNuff 11-27-2009 09:36 PM

Made some screen-printed shirts today. Took a while to make the screens, but we've decided, as a band, to start offering some cool one-of-a-kind shirts to our potential shirt-buyers for only a few bucks more than the regular shirts that we had done professionally.

If this shirt holds up in the wash pretty well, I'm thinking we're going to do it. I'll have to do a few more test cloths to get the stencil just right, but once that's set, we can do a bunch of custom shirts and sign them for about the same price that we're paying to have one-color black shirts done.

Sablate McNuff 11-27-2009 09:46 PM

Here's the shirt. It's very rough (the bleeding on the bottom left has been fixed), and I think I've figured out a way to get the black darker in the logo, but it's coming along. For a hand-made stencil and jack sh*t for supplies, I don't think it's half-bad.

EDIT: Wow, that picture turned out grainy, especially in the logo area. It's much smoother than that irl.

gaslight 11-27-2009 10:19 PM

Is that a seriously wide shirt or a really small neckhole?

Sablate McNuff 11-27-2009 10:29 PM
Is that a seriously wide shirt or a really small neckhole?
It's stretched out with cardboard so that I could get a flat surface that wouldn't bleed through to the other side.

Cramboli 11-28-2009 03:17 AM

I'll take 100 of them... All in xxxxl... ok no I won't, but I do like that design (is it copyrighted?)... I won't steal it if it is or isn't just curious... I like that bottom right graffiti style look...

funkyhoney 11-28-2009 04:27 AM

Played a gig last night. Didn't go to sleep 'til about 6.30 this morning. All in all a good night.

Same. I played a show and didn't go to bed until about 6 in the morning.

The show went incredibly well, we got two different people to video tape it, so we'll definitely be putting it up on Youtube soon enough.

We were incredibly well received, and I don't think I've ever been complimented that much at one time by so many people except for my Bar Mitzvah.

gaslight 11-28-2009 10:50 AM

I haven't been up all night after a gig in a while. Well, actually I do almost all the time but only because of my sleeping patterns not because of partying.

Spaceman Spiff 11-28-2009 10:56 AM

I guess, in a technical sense, I was partying, but there wasn't any real party. It was just three of us from the band and a few more friends hanging out that were at the show. And we were drinking and stuff.

And then I got home and hung out for a couple hours with my brother before going to bed.

gaslight 11-28-2009 01:26 PM

Unintentional all-nighter here. Too many games of rugby on in sequence. I really should grab a nap before my rehearsals today but I don't want to miss France v New Zealand.
