I downloaded Octavarium, and so far it's the best DT stuff I've heard. I really don't know why people hate the singer so much. He's not the best, but he's not as bad as some people say he is.
Cause he butchered Master of Puppets.(the album)

jpj 05-27-2005 02:26 PM
Well, the word is that LaBrie JUST recovered from vocal damage he sustained on the Awake tour, and can be heard at the peak of his vocal strengths on Octavarium, four albums later after a long period of subpar vocals.
I never knew he had any vocal damage. I saw the video of DT doing MoP, and the vocals were so bad I figured he was just having a really off night. Maybe it was the vocal damage :-/

RCA 05-27-2005 02:34 PM

Octavarium is almost done transfering, I hope it's as good as you guys make it out to be.

EDIT: Quick question, is .rar a Realplayer file?

I think that was because Labrie can't sing like Hetfield.

It's not very difficult to do that, to be honest.

.rar is how i zipped it up...

you need Winrar to unzip the file

The actual music files are in AAC format which is itunes specific...but they can be converted to mp3/wma

Good times, indeed, Joe.

So...what did everyone do today?

Went to school, and I'm going to go to a concert in about an hour. Should be a good time. I also just got Cradle of Filth's "Midian" today. I haven't listened to it yet though.

Aw crap

/self-pwned.

My point is that Master of Puppets already sucks, no matter what you do with it, it's horrible--ie, "it's not hard to make it shitty"

Of course, I phrased it poorly.

Or you could use a program called "ExtractNow" It works great and it's free. You can download it from www.download.com

Oh, I see. I have Winzip, but I doubt that it will unzip the file.

I'll look for the song on Limewire.
Good times, indeed, Joe.

I sang Adam Sandlers "Thanksgiving Song" for the second time this week. But the first time I had inhaled helium first.

clearvision 05-27-2005 03:15 PM

There is a song called octavarium...but i uploaded the whole labum, also called octavarium :) The program off download.com should extract from the .rar file....then you can play the files or downlaod dbpoweramp from the site and change them into your desired format.

lunch998 05-27-2005 03:16 PM

Is there a program that converts Mp3 files into WMA files?

clearvision 05-27-2005 03:16 PM

DBPoweramp wil do this, google it.
