1. Finish at least 1 short movie before the end of February.
You're still gonna do that whole wolf-cabin horror flick?

///

So a friend recommended that I watch The Boondocks on AS, but I wanna confirm it's funny as he makes it out to be ("The best show on AS right now")

Is it?

jpj 01-16-2006 12:10 AM

It's definitely funny, but Family Guy and Aqua Teen are still funnier. It's actually semi-intelligent comedy with social relevance though, as opposed to talking food with super powers and the like.
You're still gonna do that whole wolf-cabin horror flick?
Yes. But that's for the summer. Between then and now, I'm putting together some short films.

My plan is to distribute my movies via the internet. The first movies I make will be part of a free section where any visitor can come along and stream them at no charge. There will still be a PayPal donation though, so anyone who wants to help fund future movies can do their part.

Once I start making longer features, those will be part of a members only section of the site. These films will be about 20-45 minutes. The monthly fee will be small of course. Nothing I hate more than non-pron web sites who charge you $15 a month for content I could elsewhere.

Finally, there will be the full-length features like the werewolf movie. Those can't be streamed, only downloaded for a fee, or purchased on DVD.

This way, I can offer a quality web site without making unreasonable demands, retain the marketing rights, and still turn a profit.

Love it or leave it!
Nah, it's really because AIM won't work when MSN is active, it seems.
That sucks. I'm only on MSN now because running on both slows mine down.

Are you going to film school right now, and have you thought about maybe distrbuting to a station like IFC down the line?

Gmail me your MSN. I'm on it more often than AIM.

HeavyRiva@gmail.com is my gmail, but not my MSN. :p

Also, Alex, you suck for no longer frequenting IMs.

I considered branching out into other media of distribution once I have a strong enough following.

And to hell with film school. Those places are run with the most draconian rules and the thousands of dollars I spend there learning how to make one movie for somebody else in Hollywood would be better spent making an assload of films on my terms.

I'm in college right now so I can get the degree for the sake of showing that I was able to sit in a lecture hall for four years (that's all job interviewers these days seem to care about) and because I promised my parents I would.

They slow my system down. When I get a DVD burner, I'll purge these MST3K video files from my system and then I'll be back up to speed.

Yeah that was a tough call whether that was a guy or a girl haha.

Will Ferrell was hysterical too.

"How am I supposed to shoot you when you keep moving!!!???"

Kurtz 01-16-2006 01:28 AM

So the remake was good?

I saw the play last year. Funniest thing I've ever seen.

I haven't seen the actual play so unfortunately I can't make a comparison, but I have a hard time seeing anyone leaving disappointed.

how you guys like my retort.

Not bad.

Personally, I'm waiting to see the reaction on my last post in the LoG thread. I just came up with that off the top of my head.

Meh, needs work then. I like to end my conversations with trolls in surprising ways. My standard is sitll "Somebody needs a hug. Come here."

That sort of thing throws them off because they usually have no idea how to repond.

The funny thing I predict the breakdown thread was going to go down in flames (pun intended). I merely state how predictable they are, and that Isavedlatin trys to tell me thats my opinion. You should skim through the last part of the thread.

I did. I'll give him credit, though. He only took half the bait I laid out. Better than most trolls do. I carefully pick my words to string them along by playing off of their predictability.

Shred Danson 01-16-2006 02:46 AM

I'd like to thank that thread for giving me entertainment for the night, anyways.
