That doesn't sound very fun at all.
That doesn't sound very fun at all.
You have to play it to understand it.

Plus, you have to be an idiot and love moshing.
That doesn't sound very fun at all.
I think you have to be drunk.

What are you nuts? It sounds extreamly fun

That could help.

The Jewish kid, man...it was so great, he had the ball, got knocked down and dog-piled on, then he got up and ran away with the ball, he was skipping like "ahahaha I still have the ball", then out off NOWHERE...

BOOM! Fucking this big Columbian kid just slammed him, the kid was projected three feet in the air, did a full body twist, and proceeded to fall on his ass. It was beautiful.

Illmatic 05-27-2005 01:35 PM

To me, it's like basketball, minus all the good parts.

jpj 05-27-2005 01:35 PM
It is an art within itself, I don't know if I have the time to explain it all, but here goes.

You all know the rules of basketball, I'm assuming. Well fuck them. In the game of moshketball, it doesn't matter who plays, just as long as they know they're going to get fucked up for sure. The game starts with one player tossing the ball at the backboard, and then a struggle for the ball begins. Shoving, open hands, and tripping are all encouraged. You must do whatever it takes to get the ball.

If somebody makes a shot, they go to the free throw line. Like regular basketball, they already have 2 points from the shot made. Every player on the court also stands beside the paint, waiting for their chance to grab the ball. If the player makes the shot, woohoo, they get the point. They can make as many shots as they can, until they finally miss a shot. Losers. The most a player could get up to is 21, and they win. Usually nobody wins because they die before they can make 21.

Now, say a player misses a shot (I'm talkin' airball, buddy) and another player, nonchalantly standing behind the hoop catches the ball. If they are near any foaming on the gym's walls, anybody could yell mosh, and the little sucker will scream for his life as a substantial amount of crazy metalheads, most of them weightlifters, come charging at him. The mosh will last until somebody gets the ball, and then an attack will be made on him.

It's that simple.
It sounds like Tips, but a lot more violent.

Mr. Squiggles 05-27-2005 01:36 PM
Plus, you have to be an idiot and love moshing.
Which I'm both

ROFL thats awsome.

Bartender 05-27-2005 01:42 PM

I just counted up all my spare change. It came to £19.83 :-/

1p - £1.92
2p - £2.86
5p - £7.35
10p - £3.50
20p - £4.20

munky_magik 05-27-2005 01:46 PM

Can't you just use one of those things that counts all of your change for you, then gives you a reciept which you can get cash for? Or do you derive some kind of satisfaction from a manual change count?

I'm also quite pleased. HMV's failure to have the new Magus album last Monday (the date of the european relase) has been countered by the wonder that is Soul Seek :)

Also, any compilation I make seems to be dominated by The Wildhearts :-/

Makes me wish my school doesn't block YSI.

Mr. Squiggles 05-27-2005 02:03 PM

Allright Octavarium is here. clearvision, you rule.

I could yeah, but I only decided to count it about half an hour ago, and I don't have a machine of that kind here.
I'm also quite pleased. HMV's failure to have the new Magus album last Monday (the date of the european relase) has been countered by the wonder that is Soul Seek :)
Cool. How is it?

That sounds like an easy way to generate income. Is it a home-based device or something in the bank?

Shred Danson 05-27-2005 02:06 PM

Does YSI let you import videos?

Mr. Squiggles 05-27-2005 02:07 PM

Yes it dose

They have them in some grocery stores here in America, but I think it charges you a small percentage of the money.

Cain 05-27-2005 02:10 PM
They have them in some grocery stores here in America, but I think it charges you a small percentage of the money.
Ah, I see. I have not encountered these devices.

Shred Danson 05-27-2005 02:10 PM
Yes it dose
Well goody. I can show y'all the true carnage of mosketball soon, then.

clearvision 05-27-2005 02:11 PM

Sainsburys have them in england i thinks.

GurS 05-27-2005 02:11 PM

Big Brother six is starting now :D

It's a machine in Asda (a big supermarket thing). I know the tub in which I keep my change in yields about £70.00 when it's full
I could yeah, but I only decided to count it about half an hour ago, and I don't have a machine of that kind here.
Bad planning on your behalf then :p
Cool. How is it?
I don't know yet. I'm not going to listen to it until the whole thing has finished downloading. I kind of know what to expect from it though, from a recent conversation with my brother.
Can only be a good thing :)
Hehe...It just means that most people get bored with more comilations. For some reason almost none of them share my love for the 'Hearts :-/
Big Brother six is starting now :D
Ugh...You can't be looking forward to that. Can you? :(
Yeah, I think they take a certain percentage per £/$. But it goes to charity so it doesn't really bother me all that much.

jpj 05-27-2005 02:13 PM

I downloaded Octavarium, and so far it's the best DT stuff I've heard. I really don't know why people hate the singer so much. He's not the best, but he's not as bad as some people say he is.

GurS 05-27-2005 02:15 PM

yes, munky, i am

Mr. Squiggles 05-27-2005 02:17 PM

Yeah I use those machines all the time. I have like $300 total out of those things over the past year or so.
Well goody. I can show y'all the true carnage of mosketball soon, then.
That would be cool.
yes, munky, i am
Thats a little sad.

Well, the word is that LaBrie JUST recovered from vocal damage he sustained on the Awake tour, and can be heard at the peak of his vocal strengths on Octavarium, four albums later after a long period of subpar vocals.

RCA 05-27-2005 02:24 PM

Oh man, I love the new Heathen song.
