Abstract art and surreal art are not the same thing. Dali and Picasso actually had the technical skill necessary to make beautiful, realistic works of art. They just chose to invoke emotions instead. Sort of like many Mike Patton projects.

Well, in the context of my degree it seemed pretty darned useless to me. I still fail to understand why it was compulsory for me to do a statistics subject in my engineering degree.

As a person with a degree in statistics and an engineer, I know that the use of statistical modeling is critical to a job as an engineer, and that is why a course in statistics is required for the major.
