iya, i'm a fan of classic rock myself, althou, an i don't think anyones mentioned these, but u can't talk about classic rock withou mentioning STATUS QUO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i mean, these guys r pure classic rock, ok, mabye not in the same league as zepplin or the who, but they r pure gold

I strongly dislike Status Quo, they're hardly Classic Rock.

Well, i've never heard of them. But I do like the stones and if they're like them then I bet I would like Status Quo.

Rolling Stones = a good, simple classic rock band

the thing about the stones..is that richards guitar is sometimes so subtle you dont notice it, even when hes playing great melodies and stuff like that. if you listen to satisfaction you might just hear chords, but hes playing some good stuff there.

oh well i dont know then...have you ever seen the footage filmed at that concert? its pretty crazy.

in the song american pie, don mclean refers to mick jagger as the devil and talks about the night of the stabbing. just some random info.

edit- i went to my grandpas house a while ago and he had the forty licks cd. he just gave it to me, thats some good stuff.

i'd say maybe eric clapton or neil young. they have both been in some amazing bands and then had great solo careers over the decades.

Clapton was in so many of the greatest blues rock bands. And Neil Young was in lots of the most famous folk/country-ish rock bands.

Clapton > Neil when it comes to that.

Though it wouldn't be right to compare them, because there music is completely different.

Neil - Country Rock, Clapton - blues Rock

id say clapton just because i like his music better, but you're right they're uncomparable

I like blues and folk based rock equally, I think.

i wasnt trying to compare neil young and eric clapton..i was asking for any other suggestions on some of the top artists.
