sorry guys, i know you are working very hard (i mean the mods) on MX und the last update was fantastic....

Hey, a huge thank you to all you starred users and mods for the crack down on keeping illegal threads alive. Now, not every single person is posting on how the thread is against the rules. Keep up the good work!! :thumb: :)

Care to ban this idiot?

He is the same guy who posted his Sleep Terror review and was banned for it and is now back harrassing people.

Riva 10-24-2005 08:38 PM

Banned for a week.

Nostalgia 10-24-2005 10:55 PM

Riva, This might be a dumb question but are you only a mod tell Ken is active again? Or are you are permanent mod? Either way you deserve it.

Shadows Within 10-24-2005 11:04 PM

Does any one why Stevie got banned? I liked him, any one know why?
Does any one why Stevie got banned? I liked him, any one know why?
He got banned awhile ago for having an avatar with the infamous goaste man as his avatar.

I don't think that ban will be lifted any time soon, since that is a perma ban offense.

Riva 10-25-2005 01:06 AM

Aes banned him for 30 days, but I'm not sure what reason. He only has 3 days left, anyway.

And I hope I'm a permanent mod, heh, though Ken may return.

Got that guy, thanks Bobo.

Nostalgia 10-25-2005 01:08 AM

Ohh thats why they changed it to the les paul default avatar.
man why would he do it?

I negged both the threadstarter and the Jay guy who posted in that thread for you, man

superpeer 10-25-2005 07:21 AM

He's banned permanently, anyway. Can you believe it, I leave him unbanned after two horrid threads, and he still whines.
How so?

Got that link, thanks Jason.
oh, no its ok. i don't know if it was cause of the crash yesterday or something like that... anyway the avatars weren't placed on the left, instead they were placed above of the posts - in a line. it looks ugly.
Maybe it was cause of the crash, i don't know if this was intended.

In this words, Sorry, when i offended a mod with my critique and great work that the site is working again :thumb:

XDivineFireX 10-25-2005 09:35 AM

I didn't know where else to ask, but I have a metal/pop/disco freaking awesome song and I have no idea who plays it. I would really like to find that out. I was planning on posting it in the audio arena, but i wasn't sure if that was allowed. Can someone plz tell me where the best place to put it would be? thanks

Nostalgia 10-25-2005 09:55 AM

Thank you for posting it in here even thouhg your not supposed to but it beats making a thread about it (I don't know maybe you can't make threads but whatever) well I would google it if you know what the song title is and genre. The thread title kinda lies, this if for requests for mods to do thing and such, we also report problems in this thread, about illegal threads, or bad users.

Welcome to MX.

Stoic 10-25-2005 10:10 AM

If you dont have an mp3 you could post a detailed description in the music request thread or if you do have a sample you could ask the people in the community thread whether they're willing to help you and send it to them.
Welcome to MX.
A ten-month-late welcome? Man, this place used to be really friendly back in the day.

Nostalgia 10-25-2005 10:13 AM

I was reading in the site forum (for my first time...ever) and I noticed that their have been many thread spawning, name/profile changing links in the pit, I know this isn't the pit but, how dangerous is it to click links now? becuase I don't want to get banned over something I didn't mean to do.

EDIT: Sorry Jom, I didn't notice...

Here's a general rule of thumb, also known as common sense:

1) If you don't recognize the link, DON'T CLICK IT.
2) If the user providing the link is a quote-unquote "bad user," DON'T CLICK IT.
3) Spawn links are unprejudicial in their location; that is, they can be found anywhere.

Hopefully with the upgrade, these links can be checked out first, but there are many users who know their ways around vBulletin to cause some damage.

Hell, here's a suggestion: don't click anything.

Nostalgia 10-25-2005 10:20 AM

Yea I haven't clicked a link in a while...I don't like really going in the pit any more that place is a warzone now. I'm not to familair but is this "plexiglass" guy doing any thing to cause damage? I know he was a supermod earlier.

Jom 10-25-2005 10:42 AM

Wait, wait... The Pit... a warzone?!

How can The Pit be a warzone now that everybody is getting supered instantly and checking it out?

///

I'm going to reiterate that you don't click on unfamiliar links. I'm not going to completely recap plexiglass' history again. If someone else wants to, fine, but everytime he resurfaces people have a tendency to ask what happened, and it gets annoying to have to explain it time and time again.

In a purposefully vague nutshell: he was a supermod, was tinkering around, got reported for his experimenting/tinkering, was demodded for it, he tried to prove his innocence and explained what he was doing, no one cared to listen, and now he creates havoc every so often.

And that is my purposefully vague nutshell.

Nostalgia 10-25-2005 10:50 AM

I shouldn't said "warzone" but I never used to go in the pit really and it just kinda bugs me because it's just full of spam and meaningless threads...Yea maybe sometimes some of them are funny but you can't really make a serious thread that doesn't have to do with polatics without gettin flamed.
