BludgeonySteve 10-02-2004 10:35 PM

You know the format. Name the band that you would like out and the one that you would like in.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-02-2004 10:37 PM

Bob Marley for Roy Harper I love Bob Marley but hes not Classic Rock

pyro_570 10-02-2004 10:41 PM

Kingofdudes 10-02-2004 10:47 PM

Good choice on putting Johnny Winters in :thumb: I read an article about him in GW and checked out some of his stuff a few weeks ago.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-02-2004 10:48 PM

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-02-2004 11:37 PM

I downloaded some I still dont see why Cream is so "good" to you.

jpj 10-03-2004 08:44 AM

some people just have different tastes in music. you may like something that no one else in here likes. it's simply a matter of opinion, but you have to give them some respect because whether you like it or not they were all great musicians.

gmoneyguy 10-03-2004 08:49 AM

jpj 10-03-2004 09:00 AM

i just hope we dont get bombarded by the "OMGz0Rz LEIK PAIGE(misspelled on purpose) Iz LEIK dA BIZEST"

StreetlightRock 10-03-2004 09:36 AM

Ye gods ive missed out. Erm. Thin Lizzy? or Gary Moores solo Career?

DVG.

BludgeonySteve 10-03-2004 10:33 AM

Yes, I just thought of Thin Lizzy. Thin Lizzy for Foghat

Roy Harper for Marley

Syd Barrett's solo stuff was a crazy old man making a little less than music. I'm putting my foot down.

And plus, we have way too many solo projects/former bands in there already.

steppenwolf should be in, but I'm not sure who should be out.

BludgeonySteve 10-03-2004 11:11 AM

Ooo I forgot about them. How about we take out blind faith? We already have Cream, Clapton Amd Derek and The dominos.

What about Journey? I know some of you think they are teh suxerz and all but they were pretty big.

lunch998 10-03-2004 11:31 AM

Leave in Blind Faith. Just because Eric Clapton played for them is no reason to take them off the list.

RockAndRoll 10-03-2004 11:33 AM

I'd be fine with taking either of those off.

Badmoon 10-03-2004 11:34 AM

Where's G. Mule?

BludgeonySteve 10-03-2004 11:40 AM

Well then. since we have 101 now we need to get rid of one. And then you can replace a band with G-mule.

Badmoon 10-03-2004 11:50 AM

101 - April Wine = 100

BludgeonySteve 10-03-2004 11:55 AM

I guess. Now who would you like G-Mule to be replaced with?

Badmoon 10-03-2004 11:57 AM

Ohh w00ps, for got to subtract another...The Cars.

BludgeonySteve 10-03-2004 11:59 AM

The really don't like them do you? Fine. G 2 tha muLE! for teh carz!1!

Its not necessarily "classic rock" thats so big. Its bands that were revolutionary. Bands that were different. Jimi Hendrix. the Beatles. Led Zeppelin (who could even play folk for God's sake). but think about the bands that were revolutionary that are played on classic rock stations. they range from the early-mid 60's through the 80's in some cases. they had different sounds. Have you ever heard a band that sounds like Dire Straits? The Cure? Cream? the Doors?

Me, im mostly into led zep. I know so many random facts that its not even funny. Ive been trying to work my way back through different sub genres in "classic rock" especially the 60's heavily blues influenced bands.

Woodstock 10-03-2004 12:10 PM

So when is the list goin' up?

BludgeonySteve 10-03-2004 12:10 PM

Yep. Barely any of the bands sound the same. That's not the case with many other genres.

BludgeonySteve 10-03-2004 12:11 PM
So when is the list goin' up?
About a week after the metal poll is done. So we have plenty of time to make changes. And just to keep down the spam. IM the changes to me. I'll be keeping it in a word document.

Broken Arrow 10-03-2004 02:15 PM
