YES!!! I've been trying. Mine's always slightly off center. I had a few good runs though. :thumb: |

:thumb: -Gav
Hey Gav. Come and see what I've been doing to keep myself busy!! |
Hey Gav. You got photos of your new bass yet?
|
^ I literally JUST took pictures with my sister's digital camera. However, they need to be uploaded.
 Hello, CBR and good rats! Speaking of that...I'm in a bass pickle. :upset: :thumb: -Gav |
Pickle, you say?
|
Oh my. Tell us more about this bass pickle. And hurry up and upload those pictures, I'm raell eager to see them.
|
^ My sister has to bring them back to her school and upload them there. Sorry. :upset:
I got pics of my J, my guitar, my Schecter, my GK head, my GK cab, and my Peavey combo. Speaking of my basses, my pickle: I love my new Schecter, I really do. However, I'm not a big fan of having a 5th string. I thought it would open up wonders, but it's just been dragging me down. The neck is a lot wider for my already small hands (although it's still a small neck for a 5 string bass), and the feel's just thrown off. I like the bass and its tones and all, but the feel is all bleh now. Now I'm debating: should I keep the 5 string and stop being a pussy AND keep my modded Fender J (I still have it), or should I sell the 5-er for about $600 USD and buy LS' Warwick Corvette Proline 4 for $600 USD? But the problem with that is that I would have 2 four strings. Maybe I should sell the J and Schecter and just keep the Vette Proline 4? :thumb: -Gav |

I got used to it. I say, do whatever you want. But FIRST give the 5-er a couple more weeks. True, it doesn't open up the door as much as a sixer (oh how I want one) but I like the spacing, and my 5-er has more frets i.e. more notes. Give it a little while longer, if you don't warm up to it, sell it. |
If you feel you'd be better of with another 4 string, then you should go for it. It doesn't hurt to have 2 four strings, one can be a good back-up.
|
Also, my fiver is a Soundgear, so the neck is alot slimmer than your Schecter, which may make a difference.

Maybe, if worse comes to worst, I could just swap the Schecter for LeftShoe's Warwick Proline 4 at Berklee. :thumb: -Gav |

Well, obviously the Fender J would be the backup. :p :thumb: -Gav |

I hate to say it but I even had a dream where I was going to some school (I'm not sure if it was Berklee or not, dreams are weird like that) with you guys. :upset: |
Yea I know, I'd love to go to Berklee to hang around with all you guys, and play each otehrs basses and all that. But I'm in Australia and am only 15. :upset: That reminds me, I'm also in a bit of a bass pickle.

I feel I need another string because my five just feels bleh now, and I feel like I could use some more notes. I didn't have any problem adjusting to the fifth string, though. It was like I was destined to be with it or more strings. The neck just felt really comfortable and I had no problem with my hand size in comparison to the fretboard. The exact same thing happens when I pick up six stringers, as well. Good luck with your situation, Gav. |

I'm gonna try more sixers before I buy a new bass. To see if I want 5 or 6 strings. |

I just don't like Warwick necks in general. I picked one up the other day, and that sucka was thick and uncomfortable. |
Yeah, LS is selling is Vette Proline 4 for a Vette Proline 5.
I'll keep the bass for a few more weeks and see what happens. I'm definitely psyched about Berklee, though. It's going to be AWESOME. :thumb: -Gav |

Amen brother. For some reason, I didn't like popping on them either. |

^ Some time in July, I think.
You mean Brittany? She's coming here for my prom. :D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D :thumb: -Gav |
