the alumni base of some frats is ridiculous, we're a bit younger so we don't have as rich of an alumni base but its still pretty good

yea im thinking most of it stems from envy and such

dont get me wrong, some of it probably is due to pretentiousness on the part of several brothers/sisters of various fraternities/sororities, but thats stupid.

i was chilling with an independent friend at TU the other day on 7th street (aka fraternity row) and a fratboy came out and just started talking to us both, didnt even know us. really friendly guy.

greek life can be pretty exclusionary and there are a lot of problems with it, like the hardcore hazing at some places

it has its ups and downs and isnt for everyone

i didnt really develop a taste for beer till halfway through freshman year

it may seem retarded, but id rather drink two shots of straight everclear than drink two cans of beer.

im perfectly outgoing and sociable without the stuff, at parties sometimes i just feel awkward being the only one not drinking and often end up the babysitter, so sometimes ill do the redcup trick.

plus, games are a big part of it now.
