Yes, but I was merely using the recently played list as a reference point. It wasn't updating play counts for anything (which is why there was no recently played list).

That's odd that it didn't update the play counts. I've never heard of it doing that.

Yeah, took me a while to find it on the nets. But apparently some guy had the same problem and taking the podcasts out of the recently played part fixed it. Worked for him. Worked for me. Got no idea why it happened.

this one has lasted me a good 3 years actually and the one i had before it lasted about 2 so i dont mind shelling out the money when it decides to die for good.

I get the 3 year warranty from Best Buy and I don't have to buy another one for 3 years. It's a good deal cause they break once a year lol.

Nah. The hard drive goes up. I use it for hours and hours every day, a lot of times for 8 hours or more, so its more about mileage than age.

Still it should last longer then that, I still have one of the 2nd or 3rd gens kicking around.
