Cynic isn't bad, but my god they are boring.

i could see how they would be seen as boring. they do tend to get kind of monotonous at times, but i still enjoy them.

Focus is amazing but Traced In Air is good but yeah it gets pretty boring. especially the vocals. they were cool when they were used sparingly on Focus, but as the main vocals its kinda irritating. no way is TIA the best album of '08 like a lot of users here have voted for.

Focus. Plain and simple. Traced In Air is an excellent disc but not quite on the same level.

Everything on Focus feels like it is meant to be there, every note, riff, etc., nothing is out of place...

Also, name a band that could all but disappear for 15 years and return with something like Traced In Air.

Not talking about you per se but I don't understand how some people can listen to bands like BTBAM, The Faceless, The Human Abstract, and Protest The Hero and not understand Cynic...
