That was very good. There were some timing parts that were a little fast, and the second solo was kind of off, but, like I said, very good otherwise.

One verse of Part of Me. I tried adding just a little bit of reverb and it ****ed up and now I can't get it back to normal.

It's the whole thing kurrupt recorded and I only got around to doing one verse.


Lateralus sounds pretty good. I like the clean alot and and the solo's are pretty accurate. Definately good enough for now.

Favorites off Undertow here are Bottom, Intolerance, and Undertow. How bout Opiate? What's everyones favorite off Opiate? Mine is Cold and Ugly... Gotta love Adam's thick distortion sound on that song.

Like I said from Undertow- Prison Sex and 4 Degrees. the intro to Prison Sex is awesome. I read how to do it too- First, you need to have your guitar in drop B. (Grr) Then you take the whammy bar, 'unwhammy' it and then pluck the strings. It'll sound like they're just flopping there. The you rewhammy it to make it sound like it's 'accelerating' or something

Yeah that's pretty neat how Adam did the intro for that... I tried it myself and it sound awesome... Only problem is it detunes my guitar like crazy when I do it.

That recording is pretty good, Im sure with a bit more practice it could be better, Few things about it at the times 3:30 and 5:30 (or there abouts) it just sounds really...wierd..offtime i guess, Transitions are rough! hehe but besides that pretty good just tell the drummer to do a Creseno at the end next time :P

I don't know dude, that Lateralus recording sounded pretty **** good and a lot of times when bands cover songs, they don't play it at the exact same tempo. Oh, and the Guitar Pro track for Lateralus that you can find on MySongBook is correct.

I can record it over again if need be, no problem. I think my 6th string is out of tune on that recording anyways.

i tried the mic out today. Im amazed how good my GNX4 could record vocals with the phantom power and a condenser mic (got a better one than the shure) I was gonna record vocals, but i had 5 hours of sleep.

Ima try and wait till after lunch. Hopefully the vocal chords wont sound as raspy

that part of me vox was no good. I heard maybe one scream i thought was decent....but it seems like he does the screaming a bit better than I can, without getting all worked up. I think if im pissed, its easier.

Well the Part of me vox was mostly crap because of the reverb, I'd do it again but I don't even think that we'll be doing that song anyway. So far I haven't gotten anything down, my family needs to get out of the house first.

Also if you think my screams are decent we should do Ticks and Leeches.

Meh i have a clip of me singing aenima, don't know wether to post atm...MXican said it was ok but i think he was sh[size=4]it[/size]ting me :( I am having trouble adapting to using a proper mic...having to move it nearer/closer...and i haven't a clue to mix on cool edit, so parts of it are real quiet and others are real loud.

What is a cheap mans way of stopping my sounds 'clipping'? can i get a program on my comp that will compress sounds coming through line in?

I think you should re-record it once Faith+1 gets his track recorded and uploaded. You should play along to that so that everything is sync'd and as good as possible. :thumb:

Rob-Mic recording is far superior. Problem solved. :D

On a serious note, try using different programs, or recording at a different speed. I am having a terrible latency issue right now. I need a new sound driver. If my answer doesn't help, check out the Jam Session section. Moaner or Moseph will have an answer for you in no time at all. :D If you don't already have Audacity, I would reccomend DLing it. Ok, I read back a few pages and still dont know whats going on....You guys recording a mix or something? I would love to do some vocals. I'm one of the resident vocal coaches so it seems in the jams session thread. I can do just about anything maynard has done from orestes type stuff to ticks and leeches. whats up?
