Hmm, not too personal with these automatic lists. Is it just me?

They update once at the end of the week. It's a good summation of what we've lisented to throughout the whole week. We still talk about what we've been diggin, it's just kind of an end of the week thing.
The Strokes - First Impressions Of Earth

Talk about underrated. Great record.
Agreed. It is great.

Glitterati 01-23-2006 07:36 PM

I'm listening to Pulp - Different Class today.

Pulp are pretty sweet.

BillCosby 01-23-2006 07:47 PM

Today is "Bang Bang Rock And Roll" by Art Brut.

This sounds a whole lot different/better than what I was expecting.

Zappa 01-23-2006 07:49 PM

Add N to (X) - Avant Hard

Props to Happymeal for putting an album of theirs in the virtual record crate. The image of an analog synth being removed surgically from a woman's body was enough to pique my interest, and this album is really sweet. Pumpy fat analog dance freak out rock'n'roll sleazebox orgasm.

I've been diggin' The Ponys. Well, the one and only song I have. It's fantastic though.

Tangy zizzle 01-24-2006 12:42 AM

^goooood ****. Fantastic band.

Little Man being Erased 01-24-2006 12:55 AM

Would Laced with Romance be the best album to get?

Tangy zizzle 01-24-2006 01:04 AM

That and Celebration Castle are the only ones they have, and I couldn;t choose either way.

br3ad_man 01-24-2006 02:04 AM

I've only got Laced With Romance and it's pretty great.

Today I've only listened to Converge and Devendra Banhart. Cripple Crow is nice enough, but 22 tracks is just too long.

The_Fender_Bender 01-24-2006 05:58 AM

Sweet. I can't really compare those two yet but I seem to be enjoying myself with Avant Hard more than On the Wires..

Slug, do you know what the release date is supposed to be for that? Or has it even been announced?

Listening to All Balls Don't Bounce by Aceyalone, thanks to JonM. Thanks for that. :thumb:

Changed user title and location because I can't get enough of "43% Burnt" by DEP. There's so much to listen to that it hurts my brain regardless of volume!

Mattfanatic 01-24-2006 05:09 PM

strangely that's my least favorite song off of that album, i have no idea why

Tangy zizzle 01-24-2006 05:49 PM

I've really, really been getting into Cat Power recently. i only ever had You Are Free but after listening to the Greatest (and frickin loved it) I've investigated further into her stuff. She's just fantastic.

Bob Dylan has become pretty much a reference point for how I look at most music. I've bought like 6 of his albums in the past couple weeks and I truly can't get enough of them.

Been listening to alot of Wires on Fire aswell. I'd say they're the band that sounds most like the style of music I wanna play. Well maybe if they more a bit more groove heavy. ****en awesome band. Ya'll should listen to the Homewrecker EP. It's solid gold.

Daniel! 01-24-2006 06:16 PM

Mischief Brew - Smash the Windows
Robert Blake/Erik Petersen - Bellingham & Philadelphia

Bellingham is easily the best work that I've heard Erik do.

Dog 01-24-2006 06:41 PM

Blood On The Wall - Awesomer

These guys are a lot of fun. Energetic act with boy-girl vocals. Similar to Pixies, Pavement, a dash of Yo La Tengo, and all that kind of stuff.

CrissyTeena 01-24-2006 08:25 PM

I have been completely obessed with:

Fourt Tet - smile around the face
Dogs die in Hot Cars - Lounger
Anything by Lemon Jelly or Air miami

and on a side note...how do people post new threads? are only administrators allowed to do that? Thanks!

JonM 01-24-2006 08:29 PM

You have to post a few times and then you can. It's not many. Like 10. At any rate, welcome. I see you like Four Tet. That's crunk.

I have been digging HAVING MY SPEAKERS CUZ I'M BACK AT SCHOOL!!! And through those speakers, I have been digging various Quannum Projects.
