Glad to hear it. Definetely deserves to be. |
Yeah he made it to number four, just behind Flea, Geddy, and Les. He's the top heavy metal bassist (as well he should be)!
Also, eddie-the-trooper should be happy to know that the guy from Stratovarius that he was pushing for made it to the top 100 too. |

Has anybody heard that String Quartet tribute to Iron Maiden? Its pretty funny and some come across quite well untill the solo's which just sounds wrong on violins.
|
Not heard 'em
|
x- factor is an amazing album... in fact it may be my favourite maiden album...
blaze is an incredible vocalist... he and bruce are two different types of vocalist... comparing them would be pointless |
double post does not count over two days...
*bumpage* anyway... I love fortunes of war, it rules |
I haven't heard many of the tracks from the X-Factor. That makes me somewhat sad.

neither have i, i must buy it |
i find x-factor good but serverly lacking, and very, VERY samey.
|
Watch out, eddie-the-trooper will be after you for that. Even though you said it's good.
|
well, i'm sorry, but it IS lacking for about half the album. SOTC, good. Lord of the flies, good. Heart of darkness, good. Man on the edge, good. The unbeliever, good. Look for the truth, good.
Everything else is basically the same. I mean, not only do I struggle to tell them apart, but I believe THREE of the songs on that album use EXACTLY THE SAME CHORD SEQUENCE. |
It's not me who's complaining, but eddie will be on your case as soon as he shows up.
|
good :)
|
dude.... atleast 70 Maiden songs Follow the same progression..
I thought I got the 9000th? On my screen its saying he's got 9001st...and I've just noticed that. Yay for me :thumb: ;)
I was listening to Dream Theater playing Hallowed before. Being a live bootleg though the production on its pretty poor. It sounds wierd with the clicky bass of Harris aswell.
you got the 8999th reply, but including the 1st post of the thread (ie threadstarters post) it was the 9000th. mine was the 9000th reply to the original post. /stops being big-headed. i now know all of Brave new world, and i'm almost up to speed :) i've started learning songs by other bands on bass now, such as Guns n Roses, Metallica, etc - i'm not using a pick for GNR though :thumb: NP: Flash of the Blade EDIT: i just noticed that i have the 1st post on the last 3 pages of this thread  |

I just started listening to some Iron Maiden, and they are ****ing awesome!!!! I was just wondering if someone could give me some advice on what they think are the best maiden cd's, i have just bought number of the beast, and other suggestions would be awesome please.

Powerslave and Piece of Mind are great albums. You should get those, or one of the "best of" CDs..

I guess you're kinda like me. I'm 17, RHCP is my fav band (you prolly know that already), but Maiden is my 2nd fav. They're pure awesomness. My fav Maiden albums are Number of the Beast and Powerslave. I think that after those 2 you should prolly get Piece of Mind, their self titled album (note... different singer on that album) and maybe Seventh Son of a Seventh Son. I'm probably forgetting some though. |
